Postpartum Depression

Nervous about tomorrow...

DH goes back to work tomorrow and both his parents, who are usually off on Mondays, are working as well. *We currently live with ILs*

My friend who is visiting from GA won't be able to visit since her car is being fixed and she has no other transportation. My dad, who's been borrowing my car since I delivered LO, is fixing a part that broke and won't have my car back to me for another day or two.

I was hoping to go pick up my prescription of Zoloft and also to go visit the LC for the issues I'm having with BFing LO. I could bring LO with us to drop DH off so I could use his car, but DH has to be at work for 5 tomorrow and it would honestly be too much work to get her ready so early in the morning for a 30-40 minute car ride.

Ugh. Sorry, I rambled again :(

Re: Nervous about tomorrow...

  • You can do it!  Set small goals. . . like getting out of your jammies before lunch. (And no, I'm not being snarky. . . )  I know that I always feel better after a shower, but when I am depressed, I forget that.  So, if your DD naps long enough or if you can put her in a bouncy seat to get a shower in, I bet that will help.

Remember to eat and drink during the day.  You need energy to take care of your daughter--especially since you are BFing.

Can you talk to your friend on the phone, since she can't come for a visit?

Its okay to ramble.  Its good to reach out too!  Being on your own for the first time, for a full work day, can feel overwhelming.  You can do it though!!

  • Hi Hun, (It's amyejean) I wish I could so help you. It seems my world is upside down also and I have no idea how to fix it.

But I'm just a PM away if you want to talk.
