Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Worth every penny items...

What everyday items do you use that you don't mind spending extra on? I've recently found a couple due to DS getting what I thought was baby acne that continued to spread. Turns out it was folliculitis! So I've found:

Triple Paste: Kicks Butt Paste and Desitin's butt!...at least for us. DS had to go on antibiotics and with it came diarhea and then diaper rash. Went 2.5 days trying both. Pedi recommended Triple Paste and it had calmed by next change and gone late that night.

California Baby Super Sensitive: I'll start by saying DS loves bath time. I had a bunch of Aveeno Baby and Johnson's products I was using from my shower. All of the sudden he screamed when trying to wash him with the products I was using...and I switched from one to the next. Tried California Baby and he no longer screams even with the rash.

Luckily we are clearing up but was wondering if any of you found any miracle products along the way.

  • Ditto the triple paste.

I've learned that I'm never buying BRU diapers again.

Swaddle mes.  Our two never stayed in a blanket

AHhh! I hate BRU diapers. We were leaking through them at two weeks old multiple times per day. Wasted money for us...

    These two items exactly!

Also, the Aden and Anais muslin swaddle blankets, they are huge sized, come in a pack of 4 for about 30.00 and are great!

  • i'll second whoever said the SwaddleMe swaddle blankets!!  truly a lifesaver, and the only one he doesn't get out of.

soothies pacifiers.  he can't stand the regular kind - we try every few days and he just spits them out!  he loves his soothies though.

our cloth wipes - we use them for everything!

good washable nursing pads - i leak a lot and really appreciate the contoured ones that don't show under my clothing.
