I love the Radian, we have it for DD, but it will not fit rear facing in my small volvo wagon, so I have a Britax roundabout for DS. I also have an evenflo triumph for DH's car and a true fit.
I like the radian the best, but it will not go rear facing like I said. DD can use it until 8 though, so I did not mind buying it at 3. I will buy one for DS once he is forward facing.
Oh wow, maybe I can rephrase myself. lol I am so clueless in this carseat issue. All I know is that I want to try and get DD to ride comfortably RF for as long as I possibly can. She is just about at her limit on the infant seat we have now. Where can I look online for those you have mentioned? Sorry if these are stupid questions, lol.
We just got DD an Evenflo Symphony. She seems to like it so far and looks pretty comfy. She can be RF till 40 lbs. Right now she is 23 lbs so I am hoping she can stay RF over 2 if not more.
My top three seats are the Radian, True Fit and MyRide. They all have tall shells and high rear facing weight limits. When Kennedy outgrows the scenera in DH's car, the my ride will go there and I'll get a radian for my car.

We have a Britax Marathon in my car (Pathfinder) and an Evenflo Symphony in DH's car(Maxima). We like both of them. DS was RF until about 2 weeks ago and both fit in our cars just fine.
We have a Britax Roundabout and an Advocate. I love both of them, but the Advocate (while awesomely safe) was not worth the extra $ it usually is. We, fortunately, bought it on AlbeeBaby during a huge sale and paid the Roundabout price for it, but I wouldn't pay the $300 or whatever that it usually is. The Roundabout is just as great and easy to install and use, IMO.
I have a Boulevard for my DD and it fits great rear facing in our Honda Accord.
What I think I might do is get an Evenflo Triumph Advance for when my DS will move into the convertible, and give that to my DD and put my DS in the Boulevard (because I don't think the Evenflo will fit well rear facing in our cars and I just had to turn my DD forward facing since she was undoing her straps).
From what I've heard on here and from my own research the Evenflo is a good seat for a lot less money than a Britax.

We have the Graco MyRide. DS has more leg room in it that he did when we tested out the Marathon (he outgrew his Roundabout heightwise at around 14 months).

Just wanted to make sure you double check this because as far as I know, the Evenflo Symphony only RF to 35 lbs. It also has a fairly short shell and shorter harness straps, so most kids will outgrow the RF height before age 2, which means it's probably not the best choice for those hoping to do ERF.
For those looking for good ERF seats, the Sunshine Kids Radian, First Years TrueFit and Graco MyRide are your best bets. My sig link has more info if you're interested.

Sorry you're right. It is 35 lbs. I remembered it wrong. She is on the short side though.
Eek, and ok, since you asked I'll tell you what I have/had:
Sunshine Kids Radian, First Years TrueFit, Britax Boulevard, Britax Roundabout, Britax Roundabout 50, Evenflo Triumph, Cosco Scenera
I'd take the TrueFit or Radian any day over any of the other seats.
So you wouldn't rec. the cosco scenera at all? I just found that one online and have been looking at it.
Sorry, I should have worded differently. I actually really LIKE the Scenera! It's not going to last most kids until they're ready for a booster, which is why I'd recommend a TrueFit or Radian over the others. But the Scenera is actually a really great seat- especially for travel or as an "extra" seat. DS is 2.5 and still fits in it RF, too As long as you realize that it's got a shorter lifespan than a larger seat, it's definitely a good buy.

Oh. ok. Thanks. Haven't made up my mind yet, but I'll definitely keep it on the list with that in mind.

I did an absurd amount of research before purchasing our convertible car seat, and went to lots of stores to see them, feel them, put DS in them, put them in my car, etc. I decided on the True Fit with the rebound technology. I installed it in DH's Denali and it was an easy (but not quick) installation, fits RF with plenty of room, and DS appears very comfy in it. I had to take it out to transport 3 clients recently and it was very easy to get out and put back in ... very quick/very easy. I am still using his Gracco Snugride 32 as the carseat in my car b/c he has not yet outgrown it and I wanted to make sure we really loved living with the True Fit before I bought a second one. So far so good and I will be purchasing a True Fit in our near future.
