My oldest, who is 3.5, goes to Gymboree drop off twice a week for nearly 2 hours.
I'm thinking of stopping it this summer for a ton of reasons.
MH filled out his FSA paperwork wrong at work and so we're no longer getting reimbursed for it and it's not worked into our budget.
The 2 hours isn't long enough for my youngest to sleep and both of those days, I have to wake him early and it's a pain.
It interferes with a ton of our activities - including travel, so much so that sometimes I don't take DS or actually forget.
But the reason I want to keep him in, at least once a week, is because he loves it. He absolutely LOVES it. Loves his friends there and adores his teacher!
They are both starting preschool in the fall, twice a week, and I was planning on stopping for a month or so anyway to have a "clean break" in between Gymboree school and preschool. Thoughts on that?
In general, would you stop Gymboree school now? For a while it's been kind of a pain. Not long enough for errands or a nap and right in the middle of the day (noon - 2). But he does like it so much!!
WWYD?

Re: Stopping school for the summer?
First, FSA? How does that work? I don't think that you work? I thought both people had to work to use that?
I decided not to put DD in summer "camp" which is really just the same as school with more art. She likes it, but she also likes all the activities we do. She is going to be in school 5 days a week next year, so I want to do as much as we can with our time before then. I did send her for one week to Yoga and Art camp, but it was just one week. Our YMCA has drop off that you can do at will for up to 8 hours a week, if you need to.
I think a break between schools/programs helps.
Also, my understanding of the FSA is that both spouses had to be working, looking for work, or attending school.
