Hello,

I know everyone is different but just curious if your diabetes went away after delivery?

How big was your baby?

Did you have to have a c-section?

My GD went away after delivery. I was induced at 38 weeks for high blood pressure, vaginal delivery. DD was 6 lbs, 14 oz.

I'm not quite in 3-6 months yet, but I did have GD. It's completely gone now, and DD never had any ill effects. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and I delivered vaginally. I was supposed to be induced the next evening but after having accupuncture, I went into labor on my own and had a quick, calm birth (with an epidural).

PM me if you have any other questions about GD. I was able to control it with diet only and actually ended up weighing 13 lbs less than the day I got my BFP! Good luck to you in your last few weeks!

Yes it went away and baby was not affected by it (they check baby's sugar levels a couple times after birth just in case).

She was 7.12

I did have a c/s but that was after 24+ hours labor, 2 hours pushing and not nec. a result of GD.

GD went away after delivery. My baby was 7lbs 5oz. I delivered vaginally. Good luck!

GD went away after delivery!

Adam was measuring to be over 9 pounds so we had a scheduled c section. The c section went fantastic...seriously. It was great and I had an easy recovery!! Adam was only 7 pounds, 11 ounces. I had to take insulin 4 times a day with GD

GD went away immediately. LOs numbers were normal at birth. She had to be induced because I was 2 weeks late but was a vaginal delivery at 8 lbs, 8 oz. Pretty good for a late GD baby!

I was diet controlled GD, yes it went away after delivery. I had a scheduled c-section the day before my due date. DS was 9lbs. 4.8 oz.

DS numbers were good, he just had one time that was under so we fed him a little more often and then he was fine. No ill effects on DS or me.

I had GD with both of my babies My first was 7lbs 3oz. He was a c-section because he was breech. My DD was 6lbs 12oz. She was a scheduled c-section since I had one with DS. Both of them were totally fine and it went away both times. And it was diet controlled both times, too.

My GD went away as well, and they tested LO's blood sugar after she was born and she was perfectly fine. They tested my blood sugar every day during my stay at the hospital.

I had an induction scheduled for 3 days before my EDD, but LO decided she wanted to arrive 3 weeks early! I delivered vaginally with no complications, and she weighed 6 lbs. 5.5 oz.
