Major brag alert here.
In one day, Samuel went from having never peed in the potty to peeing in the potty 3 TIMES and telling us once when he needed to go! He's in big boy underwear and refuses to let Mama put on his diaper!
Who said potty training a boy was hard?

Good news!!! How the heck are ya? I have been MIA for awhile now. Miss chatting with you. How are the boys? (Shane did it in 3 days, so no trouble here either!)
Way to go Samuel!
Ah....I spoke too soon. He just walked up to me with a really sad face and said, "Go potty." I looked over where he was sitting and there was a big wet spot. I looked at him again and before I could hug him and tell him it was okay, we'd try again, little buddy started crying--like he'd done something seriously wrong! AWWW!!!
But what progress we've made in one day! I'm thrilled.
And Brigid--miss talking to you too! We need to catch up on FB. How is Officer Ayala's wife? Still pregnant? How are the babies?
I'd still call this a positive. It's sad that he started crying, but I think that this incident proves that he truly understands the concept of going to the potty. His brain and body just didn't work together fast enough this time.
That is incredible (the 34 weeks part). What a wonderful job she's done keeping those babies in utero. Her husband is in heaven looking down on her with pride and love, that's for sure. How lucky she is to have you and your DH there for her and her kids. And how exciting for you to be in the OR with her! I'm sure it will be one of the most emotion-filled moments of your life. I'm thinking of you babe! Hang in there!
DH and the boys and I will be headed to Minnesota in 2 weeks for my sister's wedding. I'm actually going to meet Michelle (Miaomi) and her daughter while I'm there! I'm so excited. We've kept in touch via FB as well. Her daughter was born at the end of April and she's just a doll. She was little--weighed just over 6 pounds. Michelle laughed when she sent me the e-mail saying she was here and said, "Yeah, so she's 1/2 of what Eli was when he was born!" LOL! Maybe someday I'll get the boys out to the DC area to see my sister and nieces and we'll get to visit you, too.
