  I've done Plato's Closet.  They will only take name brand clothing in good condition.  You bring in what you want to get rid of and they will go thru each piece and then make you an offer and pay you that day.  I've never made much.  I brought in 3 bags of name brand clothes, some with tags and made around $20.

  I want to Clothes Mentor to see what they would give me for 5 motherhood shirts (2 still with tags) & they only offered me $7. I was Shocked the ofter was so low.

  Clothes Mentor is extremely picky. I brought some stuff to Turnstyle and just picked up my check recently and it was for $65. Turnstyle looks at 25 items at a time (all clothes have to be on hangers) and then you can pick up your check 90 days later if your items have sold. I think they only kept 15 of my items so I was surprised I made $65.

  Clothes Mentor stinks and Platos Closet is most likely the same way since they are owned by the same company. They wanted to give me about $8 for maternity stuff that I then brought to consignment and got about $40 for. I have had a lot of luck with Turnstyle.

  A coworker of mine loves Turnstyle.  She said that she always makes a decent amount of money for her clothes and that they also carry good quality/nice clothes to buy fora  great deal.
