LO has had diarrhea for 3 wks - HELP!

I thought it was b.c he was eating too many sweet potato fries so I cut those out, then a few days later he had a fever and threw up a couple times and I took him to the Dr and they said nothing is wrong with him but he still has diarrhea. Everything else about him is normal. I cut out all diary three days ago to see if that was the problem but so far it hasnt change anything. 

Anyone else's LO done this? Before this happened he had been drinking milk for 3 weeks and MH and I were allergic to milk when we were little which is why I thought to cut out all diary to see if that makes a difference.

    Does he have a fever? Is there any blood in his stool? Try cutting out dairy and BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) and anything bland. If that doesn't work after a few days or if there is blood or fever I would see if you could get a stool sample. I was too slow to ask for one and we've been in the hospital for going on 5 days with LO with C. Diff. There are lots of other things that could cause it. Hope your LO gets better, I know it's miserable.

    Has he been on antibiotics recently?  If so, he could have C. diff.  My son has is right now, and he got it from being on antibiotics.  It's rare for babies to get it for any other reason, but his pedi should have his stool tested anyway.  Three weeks is a long time to have diarrhea.

    I would call your Pedi again this morning and tell them it has been three weeks and he still has diarrhea. If they say he is fine then I would seek another pedi. 

    If your Lo is on medication such as an antibiotic I can understand the diarrhea. Usually you are on an antibiotic for at least 10 days and that can cause LO's insides to be off.

    might be rotavirus.  it's intestinal and can last three weeks or more.  i agree with the PP, cut him down to only very bland foods.
