Started Solids

We started solids last night - Elyse was SO ready. She gobbled up the teaspoon of rice cereal (mixed with breast milk)! She also loved the spoon.

BUT she was up every two hours last night with a tummy ache. I'm going to wait and see if she can poop today and them try it out again tommorrow morning.

Very exciting milestone though !!

yay!!! it is so fun isn't it?

that is how A was too... she was 6 months 1 wk when we started and we could hardly keep her from attacking the spoon with her mouth and reaching for it w/her hands!! totally ready

i'm sorry E had a tummy ache though...hopefully it won't happen again. i have heard it can make some babies constipated though we haven't had any issues

I gave her some more this morning. Giving it to her in the evening was a rookie mistake

I bet if you had asked either of us when we got married if we would ever get excited over our babies pooping we would have made a funny face and said no way LOL

Yay, that's exciting!! Sorry to hear that she had a tummy ache though. Hope she feels better and solids will be smooth sailing from here on out!

I highly recommend oatmeal baby cereal instead of rice cereal. Bella had TONS of constipation issues until we switched. It was constipating her BIG time and it was awful! Once we switched, it took a few days but then she got going again. Good luck!

Wait until she's Bella's age and she's gobbling up anything she can get her little hands on, it's so fun to watch them eat!
