Welcome, ladies, to the Expecting a Sibling Weekly Check-In! I will try to post this check-in each Friday around 10:00am-12p EST, so be looking for it! I'll also try to repost this around Saturday-Sunday so that others can add to our thread. If you'd like you can also put the date of your next checkup or u/s and I'll add next to your name so that we can send good thoughts your way on that particular day.

Below is the list of ladies who have joined us, 67 so far! If you would like to be added to our list, please leave your Bump Name, your real name (if you choose to share), and what number child this will add to your family. Newbies are always welcome, as well as proud step parents & those adopting!

For those who are newbies please read the post New to January Moms or The Bump? (thank you to mchupie!). It will help answer so many questions, and you can also grab the January Joy button code from that post. There is also a bump glossary located here. And an unofficial glossary located here. The unofficial glossary contains a lot more bump lingo.

If you plan on staying team green/yellow/red etc.(because we all know there is more than one neutral color), let us know so we can mark you as such.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - So awful, however my midwife says that's a good sign things are going smoothly, lovely.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? - I haven't met with my midwife yet but I fell I'm doing the best things that I can for me & baby.

Oh and I'm excited because there are only 12 more days until our next u/s!

Camicat-expecting #2. DS will be 3 at the end of summer and this is going to turn his world upside down! lol It will be fun though. My next appt is my ~12 week appt on 6/18 when I'll also be getting my NT scan.

Gen QOTD: I'm feeling a lot better. My exhaustion is turning into manageable fatigue. Whew!

QOTD: I am very happy with my OB choice. The entire office is great and they have a wonderful reputation.

ETA: My due date is Jan 5th for now.

Better in the mornings and very sick and dizzy by about 2 pm. Trying gatorade to help.

Good morning, can you please change my due date to Jan. 23rd? It got pushed back a bit after my ultrasound.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Ok--two days ago I puked twice and yesterday I felt great. So far so good today, but we'll see. I usually get sick around dinner time.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? - I am going with the same OB as last time and I love him! So calm and patient.

I'd love to join in. My name is Amy (MrsYam), due 1/18 with #2. We're staying Team Green.

How have you felt this week? I've been feeling a little better. I've been stuck by the m/s truck for about 3 weeks now. I'm over it. Definitely sicker this time around.

If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? I LOVE my practice. I have to see all of them and I only don't "like" one of them. But, she's not even that bad. The only gripe I have is that I always have to wait for appointments.

general qotd: officially in my 6th week and this week has been a little rougher than the past couple. i've been having almost daily headaches and the nausea has been in full force. and the exhaustion, don't even get me started. i don't remember it being like this last time, but maybe i just blocked that part out.

qotd: i had my yearly physical right after bfp, where i learned my dr was no longer doing ob. so i set up my appts with a midwife, but i won't see her till almost the end of july.

I am expecting #4! I have a 10 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old. This one is due 01/31 but since my last one was almost a month early I predict the beginning of January. I was on t he Knot for a while. I lost my first husband a few years ago and just remarried last month to a man I have known since high school. This is his f irst biological child.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Tired and been fighting nausea. I never had this with the other 3!

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? I have not had my first appointment yet, but it is the same dr that delivered my other 3.

Team Green! At least until I find out the sex!

General QOTD: I am feeling OK actually. I have started to exercise after being kind of lazy! I haven't had any horrible symptoms going on, but who knows what could happen in the next 4 weeks. I am just a bit tired!

QOTD: I have already met with my midwife! I LOVE HER! She has already been part of the family! She delivered my first and is super excited to deliver my second. She even wants more updated pictures of my little girl who is turning 3 in July. Wow how times flies!!!!!

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - I am nauseas all the time. Makes me grateful for how easy I had it with DS. Otherwise, I feel pretty good, though.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Needless to say, I felt great physically. Still sick every now and then, but haven't thrown up yet. I can tell there are two because of how big my belly is getting. I'm already in maternity pants at 8 weeks.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? Yes, I am seeing the best MFM practice in the area with a level III NICU. I started at my OB practice, but just moved over to them. I saw them at the end of my first pregnancy when I was diagnosed with severe pre-eclampsia. They were great and I feel comfortable in their hands with everything that is going on.

How have you felt this week? I've been feeling pretty much the same since the beginning. No m/s, and my slight nausea is gone. Two days ago I lost all symptoms and actually felt great and had energy. Last night my exhaustion came back in full force. I got at least 9 hours of sleep last night, and still today I felt like I haven't slept in a week.

If you've visited your doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? Yes! I'm using the same OB I had with DD, and I love her. However, I'm most likely going to have to switch practices mid-pregnancy because we're planning on moving in late August/early September .

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Feeling pretty much the same. The nausea really kicks in at night now. Feeling a little better during the day at least. Still very tired though.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Still pretty queasy and exhausted, but I will take it if it means this pregnancy is progressing well. We saw the heartbeat this week, so that was a HUGE relief.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? I haven't had my first appt with my dr yet, but will be using the same daugther that delivered DD. I love her. She has been super supportive during all of my losses and very proactive about trying to make sure this pregnancy is successful (I'm on baby aspirin and extra folic acid because of my recurrent losses)

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Pretty terrible. This has been the worst week for morning sickness so far. I am looking forward to catching up on sleep this weekend. Hopefully my DH won't mind, again.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? - I'm with the same practice I was with last time. I like my doctor, he does a good job, he's very personable and willing to spend time with me each visit. PLUS, he never over-schedules. Oh, that is really my most favorite part. I hate waiting.

I'd love to join. Stephanie / Expecting #2 / my EDD is Jan. 29 (my birthday!!)

My son, Cole, is 8. An unplanned pregnancy from a short lived relationship but still continuing friendship equaled the best "mistake" I've ever made and would make again a million times.

I got married for the first time last August. DH and I are over-the-moon excited about our baby! Cole is as excited as we are to be a big brother. Its a great time.

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Not as sick as when I carried Cole but a little queesy. However, I've had really bad headaches that I don't remember having last time.

QOTD:If you've visited you doctor or met with your midwife, do you have a good feeling you're going with the right person? - I met with my midwife, who works at Group Health not a center, when we started TTC. I haven't met with her again yet. I like her a lot. But, after seeing the Business of Being Born, I still have some questions.

He is actually an old family friend and his dad actually delivered me. He has all my family history off the top of his head and when I ran into issues at the end with DD being breech he was able to calm me down and was able to explain everything. We are going for a VBAC this time and I have full confidence that he is the right doctor

Doing a bit better than last week, but still quite nauseous and exhausted.

I love the doctors and MWs at my practice. I saw the midwife today and she said everything looks good. She was pleased with the results from my 1st u/s. She did not attempt the doppler at 8w5d - she said it is too soon and if she couldn't hear anything, it would cause me unnecessary worry. I'll just have to think positively!!!

NT scan scheduled for 7/1 and next OB appt is 7/13 and it's with the OB who delivered DD
