2 Month Appt Success!

Finally got the 2 month appointment out of the way.  He's 12 lbs 12 oz and 23 1/2 inches long.  DS had been experiencing his first bout of constipation so I was planning on asking the pedi what to do about it but he decided that the doctor's office was the perfect place to relieve himself, haha.  It was massive and stinky!  Then, while I was changing him, he frog kicked like crazy and got poo all over himself.  I had to used about a zillion wipes to get him clean!

The pediatrician wrote us a script for Prevacid so hopefully we are on the way to getting his AR under control.  It helped that right before she came in I was feeding DS and he was wailing every time he burped.  Kind of proved my point!

He took his shots like a champ and only wailed for 3-ish minutes before settling down (I teared up but didn't cry).  Now he is upstairs asleep in his PNP.  Hopefully he decides to be a sleepy baby instead of a fussy baby after his shots!

Re: 2 Month Appt Success!

  • We also had our 2month appt today! My DS is only a few ounces smaller than yours! lol he measure 12lbs 6oz today and 23.5" long head was 16CM He did good with his shots, cried for a good 5 mins or so until I could get him calmed down and latched, once he did that he settled right down and feel asleep, I'm working but DH says he's doing pretty good, a little cranky but not bad. I cried when I was trying to settle him, I saw a tear come out of his right eye and it just tore me right up!

  • We had our 2 month appointment too today.  DS has had similar problems with not pooping and the doctor said it's not really constipation if it's coming out soft.  He also said to call if he goes more than 5 days without pooping.  His have been about every 3 days.  Similar situation, when it comes, look out!

Shots were a different story for us.  He cried for about 5 minutes and then settled down.  I was crying for about 6 minutes.  It was the first sight of real tears that got me.  About two hours ago he decided to wake up from a nap screaming like he has never screamed before.  It took him about an hour to calm down.  I don't know if it's from the shots.  He seemed to be pretty gassy while crying so I'm hoping that's what it is and not a reaction to the shots.
