Moving to the Edina, MN area at 31-32 weeks pg
DH and I will be moving out from Boston to the Edina area when here in a couple weeks. I am going to need to get a new doctor and hospital ASAP as I will be about 31-32 weeks pg then. I would love any recommendations for doc and hospital or birthing center around the area!

I'm moving to that area in just a few weeks as well and will be 24 weeks along.
I will have my first appointment with Dr. Donna Block with Clinic Sofia the week we move up there. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about her, but that she was hard to get into. I called and luckily, she was accepting new pregnancy patients!
Her clinic is attached to Fairview Southdale.

Dr Meschke is on maternity leave right now.
I'd recommend just about ANY doctor at Southdale OB/GYN. And they deliver at Southdale in Edina.
i've gone to Dr. Suzin Cho at OBGYN Specials since high school...they have 7 doctors there and all have been great....they are also right across the street from Fairview Southdale (i'll be delivering there)...website: www.obgynpa.com

I recommend anyone at the Paul Larson Group. ?Christine is wonderful. ?She is incredibly smart, compassionate and professional. ?She also has the gift of being empathetic. ?Something that is quite valuable when in the delivery room. Their office staff is friendly, and their facility is gorgeous. ?It cozy. ?I actually like to get there a little early, curl up in the big cozy chairs and read a magazine. They deliver at Fairview Southdale and their new L&D facilities are amazing. ?I recommend delivering there.
?I would like to go a step further and recommend a pediatrician for you as well. ?We have been going to Edina Pediatrics since our second son was born. ?Dr. Wengler and Dr. Thomson are the best pediatricians I have found. ?I have been to 4 locations before we found Edina Pediatrics. ?Yup, I am quite particular when it comes to my babies health! ?Their office staff is amazing. ?They always have same day appointments. ?The best part is the fact that they have a well infant waiting area, as well as an exam room dedicated solely for the infant well child exams. ?The less germs the better! ?Their office is beautiful. ?The exam rooms are always immaculate as is their waiting space. ?They have age appropriate toys in all of the exam rooms as well as the play area. ?They even have a rocking chair in the exam room! ?They have extended hours and they even run a pediatric urgent care clinic on the weekends evenings and holidays. ?I could go on all day! ?Dr Wengler is our primary doctor, but we love Dr. Thomson as much as we love Gitte. ?I am often shy about sharing Edina Pediatrics with anyone, because I don't want lose them to others. ?They are the best. ?Hands down.
I live in Edina and go to Dr. Pettit at Associates in Women's Health, P.A. She is great and very knowledgeable! Their office is right across the street from Fairview Southdale Hospital. I have met 3 other doctors in their practice and they are all awesome! I will deliver at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
