I'm having a girls night in with some of my friends for my birthday in a couple of weeks. It's a mixture of high school friends, college friends, and after college friends.
I need some ideas on some activities. I'd like to do an easy craft project since most of these friends are pretty creative. But I am at a loss for ideas. Also some fun little icebreaker games ideas would be helpful for the groups to be able to get to know each other.
Anyone have any ideas?
Re: NBR: Need girls night in ideas
Is it sad that initially the only craft project I could think of involved making an alcoholic beverage or something to eat? LOL
But I resolved to think of something else. Maybe you guys can make something that can be done by hand or quickly on a sewing machine like a pillow? Something that wouldn't require a huge investment in fabric...
Or decorate t shirts - Fabric markers/paint and bedazzle or something... I'm not crafty. Can you tell?
For ice breaker maybe have each guest say how they know you and talk about a fun, funny, or special experience they had with you. That way everyone can understand more about your relationship with the others and feel more included.
Sounds like fun though. Good luck!
Hmm... from my experience, people can have varying degrees of interest in craft projects. What if you asked people to bring a craft project that they are working on or would like to work on? What way, you know it's something people enjoy doing and not something they are just going to take home to throw away?
Also, you could do an "at home" spa kind of thing. I went to a party once where there were a couple of the bubbly foot soaker things, lots of nail polish, disposible nail files, etc. Everyone could pamper themselves and we spent time painting each others fingernails. (we did our own toes though.)
