Middle name..

We found out yesterday we are having a little boy! DH is over the moon, and is insisting on the name Kobe (pronounced Ko-bee). We had always intended to use DH's name as a middle name, Ashley. But now we're not sure it works with Kobe! Personally, I prefer Ryan as a middle name.

Which do you think sounds better,

Kobe Ashley C...

I prefer Kobe Ryan over Ashley but it sounds sooo much like Kobe Bryant that I cannot give an honest opinion...

My older brothers name is Coby John. He is in his 30's, thats the only way I like "Kobe" since that is what I grew up knowing. My mom actually disliked the name Coby, so gave him the middle name John to be able to call him C.J.

But he is SO a Coby, never went by anything but that. I like how Coby John sounds. Many times I heard my brother being called by his full name by my mother for being in trouble ;-)

I actually like the name Ashley for men, but I agree that Kobe Ryan sounds better.

We had seen the name Kobe on a birth announcement right before we got married, and as I had never seen the name before I had never thought to spell it any different! I really like Coby though! And I like the idea of a J middle name for the nickname CJ. Will have to bring this up with the DH tonight... thanks!
