How do I find a local moms group?

Some of the websites I've found are more for mommy & me activities. I always see groups of moms in the parks in my neighborhood when I'm out walking with LO, but I'm too intimidated to approach them. Are there any websites that you know of that are specific to neighborhoods?  thanks :-)

    try meetup.com , they always have tons of different groups

    Meetup is one place to start. Other than that, I would google 'moms groups in Sacramento' and see what you come up with. I would also say not to be too intimidated to say hi to anyone at the park--I have met a lot of great moms that way.

    where are you in Sacramento - - - there are a group of Sacties that get together periodically.  I'm up in Rocklin if you want to GTG sometime.
    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    When I lived in the East Bay, this was my "mom's club."  I worked, but did attend several GTGs and GNOs when I was available.  After moving across the country where I knew nobody, I was introduced to my local chapter of MOMS Club & very much appreciate the new friendships that my children and I have formed with other local moms & kids.  Check out:  https://www.momsclub.org/links.html

    I found mine on meetup.com. I first tried my local group but the moms ages varied too much and were mostly older kids so I tried another one with my age range and it ended up being perfect. I really like it and I have made some great friends.
