Hey,
I've been having major supply issues since my son was released from the NICU when he was 9 days old (was fine up till that point).
I went on domperidone (8 pills a day) for 9 weeks, and finally gave it up as it was super hard on my stomach.
Have since started flaxmeal, in addition to oats, and I pump several times a day (have been doing so since the baby was born). I have to supplement.
Just returned from the Naturopath who said that the supply issue is linked to stress. He prescribed several things:
Aconite, Kali Carbonicom, Palsailla, Blessed Thistle, and a tea made out of fenugreek, hops, borage, and fenell
My MD is against it, my husband is against it, and my parents are against it. I just want to make more milk, but am also nervous.
Thoughts?
TIA
Re: Saw Naturopath for Supply Issue (thoughts?) long...
Why is everyone against it, especially the MD? Sounds pretty benign especially compared to domperidone
I recently started seeing an acupuncturist for supply issues. Supply seems to be slowly going up (although it's a bit early to tell). I'm taking chinese herbs along with the acupunture treatments

Those are all herbs or homeopathic remedies- you can buy most of it at GNC or Whole foods, you won't be getting it in a baggy behind the high school, lol. It's MUCH milder than domperidone.
Just to add another thing for them to freak about, lol- try shatavari
