Pregnant after a Loss

1st Bradley Class

My husband and I went to our first (out of 12) Bradley Class on Tuesday Night.  In case you are interested, here's a brief summary and my thoughts on it so far.

There are 8 couples which is the largest class they have ever had.  I was expecting more of a "hippy-earthy-crunchy" group.  But everyone seemed very 'average' to me.

We randomly ran into DH's friend and his pg wife from college at the class.  That made him happy.

I think 3/8 of the husbands admitted to being "dragged" when they were asked why they were there.

We had an introduction and went over diet & exercise.  They went over the exercises we should be doing daily - kegels, squats, tailor sitting and butterfly exercises.  They also talked about relaxation.  We are required to chart what we eat.  The big thing for me is that we should eat 80-100g of protein/day.  I eat very little meat, so this is a task.  I think next we we are covering diet in more detail.

  • I had no idea they went over diet in the classes.  That's great.

I understand about the protein.  I'm supposed to eat that much with twins.  I just can't do it.  But I do like greek yogurt and cheese sticks as protein snacks.

  • I've been getting a lot of my protein from cheese and milk. I don't eat a ton of meat either- although steaks have been a new "food of interest" in the past two weeks!

  • Cottage cheese is a good source too.  I love greek yogurt for the protein!
