Cupcake bakery recommendations

Does anyone know of a bakery that makes great cupcakes? DD's 2nd birthday is coming up, and I'm not sure if I want to do a big cake, or a small cake and cupcakes. Her birthday was at the beach last year, and we may do the same thing. It wasn't even that hot of a day, and it started to melt the fondant icing. So I think cupcakes would be a better option. Anyways, just looking to see if anyone here has any recommendations. TIA.

Just Baked has amazing cupcakes. They have 3 locations: Livonia, 12 Oaks Mall in Novi, and they just opened up a location in Royal Oak.

I don't know where you live, but there's a cupcake place up at Partridge Creek...if I think of the name of it,I'll post it.

Thanks, but that's wayyy to far from me. lol. I still haven't been shopping there yet, but hopefully this summer. I'm around Oakland county.

Cupcake Station in Birmingham. I'm a cupcake snob and Just Baked doesn't do it for me even though they've started popping up all over. The Cupcake Station is amazing.

Completely and totally second the recommendation for "Just Baked". We just used them for DS baptism and I grab one occasionally as a snack. They are wonderful! Try the Red Velvet Cheesecake.

I am a HUGE cupcake snob and I think (honestly) that all cupcakes in Michigan are horrible. Just being honest I think you could do a better job baking your own...or just get a cake.

or have them shipped in from Georgetown cupcake in DC lol.
