    That was very inspiring Keri! Congratulations on a wonderful birth and a beautiful son. I'm from Rhode Island as well and dreading having to give birth at the baby factory W&I. I'd love to go to the Farm, but I dont think its practical for me. Im so happy that you had such an empowering birth, you should be so proud. Best of luck to you and your family.

    What an awsome birth story! I was hoping this was the farm you were talking about when I read the title. I read Ina May's books and I would have loved to give birth on the farm but it just wasn't an option for us.

    first, congrats!

    second, I am way jealous that you gave birth on The Farm.  When I was pregnant with my son, I was one of the women you talked about who trusted her dr and bought into the medical system.  I was also part of the 33% c/s group.  When I got pregnant with my daughter, I educated myself and often thought about birthing at the Farm.  I knew my husband wouldn't go for it since I was having a VBAC, but I wanted it so badly.  If we have another baby, we will have a home birth though :)

    Thanks for the story Keri!  I have been waiting to read this one. I am glad your natural birth worked wonderfully for you.  Part of me still wishes I wasn't the 1.5% statistic for c/s out of hospital births, but sadly I am.  I am so happy for you and just love the pictures of Liev!  I finally checked my PMs and replied to yours - take a peek :)
