Surgery is tomorrow

I'm nervous. Mainly because they're cutting into me (to remove an ovary and an ovarian cyst) while I'm something some folks may call PREGNANT. I'm nervous about the surgery and I'm nervous that he won't be able to do laparoscopy and that it'll be the big incision and I'll have the long recovery.

I'm just freaking nervous. And my one set of in-laws is here this week to "help" and honestly their intentions are fabulous but they're not that "helpful." But their intentions are good, so I need to just say that to myself over and over.

Thankfully my parents are back from a camping trip they were on, so I will see their faces as well as DH's before and after surgery. THAT is nice.

Best of luck! I think anyone would be nervous...no words of wisdom I can offer there. Just hoping that all goes smoothly - and that your DH can run interference with the in-laws so you don't have to grit your teeth and smile through too much of their "help."

even after a c-s I'm already doing everything (even stuff I'm not supposed to), so the recovery period is often a lot less than they say it is

I'm sure it will go great! I know it's hard, but try to relax as much as you can. (FWIW, my ILs can be like that too, so I find it's best to really take them up on their offer to help and ask them to do specific things. The hardest part for me is someone else doing things a little differently than I would).
