Trying to Get Pregnant

Question about Temp.

Hi Guys:

We are going to start TTC in October, I always assumed just charting your period was the best way to figure out your ovulation cycle. Now, I see that most of you chart your Basal Temperature.

Is this recomended? Did you do this right off the bat when you were thinking about TTC? Both of my sisters didn't do this, so I am no familiar with this method. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA!

  • It's amazing how many women do not know about their thermal shift during ovulation. I recommend signing up on www.fertilityfriend.com and reading their tutorials.  The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility is very insightful as well.  GL!

  • I did not track BBT from the beginning and definitely wish I had. Most cycles are not textbook, and TTC by tracking your period is like "pin the tail on the donkey"
