Has your LO ever just slept in the PNP without the bassinet attachment? If so how did they do? We are going to visit my parents next week and my sister-in-law gave them her PNP, but cannot find the bassinet attachment. DD is still sleeping in the PNP bassinet and I am afraid she will not be comfortable in just the bottom of the PNP. Not to mention it is a much further reach for me to get to her and I often have to put the pacifier back in her mouth.
Re: Has your LO ever just slept in the PNP?
We just went away for 5 nights and stayed in a hotel room. (yes, all four of us). It was a challenge, but we had the pnp for ds2. He seemed to do just fine in it. He actually went to sleep much better than he does at home (but our routine was so out of wack, that he was just exhausted by bedtime). I did use the changing table attachment though.
btw: you can buy an actual mattress for those pnp's that is much thicker than what comes with them. They don't fold though, so you have to definitely have room for it.
He slept like that over Memorial Day weekend at my mom's house, because she doesn't have a bassinet part to her PNP. He slept perfectly fine, but he never takes a binkie at night so I never have to worry about that.
But I did notice that when we came back home I took out the newborn napper since he slept fine in my mom's PNP, but he wouldn't sleep flat on his back in the bassinet part so we had to put the newborn napper back in....
we just went to visit my parents for a week and my mom bought a PNP for Jack to sleep in. He did awesome. slept just like he would at home. but my mom put a blanket under the sheet. nothing too fluffy but it made it just a little more comfy.
