Re: It's a miracle ::Trying For A Sibling Check-in::

  • Not TFAS sibling, but I just wanted to say it's good to see you again mrs.monica Smile Welcome back!
  • Loading the player...
  • Hello! DH and I are trying for a sibling. We have a 14 mo old son and we are on cycle two now hoping for a BFP soon!
  • By far my favorite sport is football!  I am a huge Buckeyes fan and Chicago Bears fan!  I also love hockey (go Blackhawks), and if I'm attending a game...baseball (it's boring on TV) Go Cubbies!

I played soccer and cheered in HS, and now I'm a huge runner.

I would love my DS to play baseball for sure, it's in our blood (DHs dad and uncle were in the MLB) and, if he wants to, soccer.  He's too little still for organized sports...so this summer we're doing swim lessons and gymnastics.  Should be fun.

I had my RE appt (update on the board and on 3T). I'm feeling hopeful for next cycle and anxious for my b/w, HSG, u/s and DHs SA, all to take place before I O next cycle (in 1 month).  It's a lot. I also now have 2 ovidrel trigger shots in my fridge (which is weird).  I am doing trigger plus timed sex for 2-3 cycles, then we'll move onto IUI in the fall.  He also ordered me to gain 5 lbs minimum and slow down my working out...running.  It's going to be super hard but I'm willing to do it if it means getting KU again.  Here's hoping.  I'll keep you all updated as my results come in!

Glad to see you back around, mrs.monica and so happy things went good with the RE!

QOTD:  Favorite sport to watch is hockey.  I didn't "play" anything, but I did cheer a little.  I wanted to get our oldest into gymnastics, but with the way she swings a bat, she may end up playing softball!  We'd like to get DS into hockey and he seems pretty interested... we still have a year before he can play, though.  Not sure about youngest DD.  She may make a good linebacker or something lol

Nothing interesting on the TTC front.  I decided not to chart this month and next.  I'm actually content with not knowing where I am in my cycle.  Of course, I say that now... if I end up O'ing late or it turns into a long cycle, I'll be kicking myself!

  • Mrs.Monica - thanks so much for the nice thoughts.  I really appreciate the support from all of you ladies!

Update:  As mentioned, I had my SHG today in prep for IVF and the RE discovered several uterine polyps.  I will have a hysteroscopy in a couple of weeks to remove them.  IVF is on hold for a month and the RE wants me to continue taking BCPs.

QOTW:  I'm not much of a sports person so I don't really seek out sports to watch.  I mainly just watch whatever sport DH has on.  My favorite that he watches are the snowboarding events and the winter X games.  I also love the cheerleading competitions on ESPN.

I didn't play sports in H.S. - I was on the pom-pom squad and I did dance competitions and teakwondo outside of school.

Currently, we have DD in dance, swim and soccer.  She loves all three so we will continue with them until she loses interest.  She just asked to sign up for tee-ball but I think adding that might be a little crazy for our schedule!

  • QOTD~ We are big football fans in our house. Roll Tide! We also watch NFL, so during the Fall we watch football from Thursday-Monday. :)

DD takes ballet and will start tap as well in the Fall, starts tennis lessons next week and is taking tumbling, with her mind set on competitive cheerleading. We'll see about that though. I am not a fan of makeup and sparkles on my little baby! She has tried just about every damn sport there is. She never likes any of them! She really is a very girly girl, so dance seems to be her thing.

I also danced for 12 years and love it. I cheered a bit too and am still nerdy enough to watch it if it's on tv.

  • AMB11AMB11 member

QOTW:  Although I've played soccer all my life and am super excited for the World Cup to begin, my favorite sport to watch is Football.  I love the fall in New England especially lazy Sundays with the game on.  The only drawback is that DH is obsessed with fantasy football!  A summer afternoon at Yankee Stadium would be second runner up.

Update:  I had a couple of BFN's last week and since my chart was telling me that I didn't ovulate and I still didn't get AF I called my Dr and went in for a blood test to check my progesterone levels.  As suspected they were low so I'm now I'm medication to kick start my cycle.  I'm hoping that's slap in the face my body needs to start ovulating again...we'll see.  I'm also waiting for results of test checking my thyroid and prolactin levels....basically a waiting game......

  • Hi ladies, I have a three year old son and MH and I are trying for a second. I am on Provera for amenorreah but as soon as I get AF we will be on Cycle 1. Mind if I join your group?
  • Hi Mrs. Monica!!!! I've missed you!

I am in my 2ww and thinking I am out this month.... just a guess.

QOTD: Favorite sport :Football.... I played softball and cheerleaded for 13 years, so it would be great if DD enjoyed that too, but she can pretty much do what her little heart desires :)

    Love multiplies it doesn't divide!!
    <a href="http://s975.photobucket.com/albums/ae238/MaMaSiBs/?action=view
  • Welcome back! Sorry things have been rough for you lately, hopefully things will start looking up right away!

On to the QOTD: I played softball in school and really enjoyed that however watching a little kid baseball game can be very trying on one's patience. T-ball watching is funny though. I've gone to a lot of my students games and phew, slow going ya know?

I was just looking at my new second chin a few minutes ago and though to myself I should get my lazy butt moving. Blah.

I don't really know what sport I would like DS to play but I do know that I would like NOT like him to play football. I don't think I could stand to watch him get hit like that :(

As far as cycle things go I'm declaring this my cycle. I told DH we had better get it right this month because I want my baby. We'll see how my demands come true...

  • Hey Mrs. Monica, I have been thinking about you all week! Good to see you back.

My favorate sport to watch is baseball (Go Mariners, even if you suck!) and I enjoy watching football and hockey if I am there, if its on TV I get bored. I played softball in highschool and still enjoy hitting the diamond every once in a while, though its been a while.

We are hoping that when the time comes, DS will play both football and baseball, since DH was all american and a huge sports nut!

As for everything else, I posted below, but i think I might have finally O-ed which makes me really happy, and I will find out for sure tomarrow at my doctor's appointment. (fingers crossed it goes well and we don't have to up the dose of Met.)

I have gotten alot of really stupid comments this week which is frusterating, but I am trying to keep my chin up and grin and bear it!

Good luck this week everyone and hopefully by next check in there will be more good news!!

  • Hi, I'd like to join the list.

DH and I are TTC #3; I'm a SAHM to our 4 year old daughter and  2 year old son.  I'm on cycle #4.  I've been lurking on this board since I started TTC #3, and it seems like there's tons of good advice, with some entertainment thrown in :-)  I do chart, and am happy to throw in my 2 cents regarding anyone's chart if they ask :-)

My two pregnancies were very different as far as how difficult it was to conceive - with my DD, it took us 8-9 cycles and I went on Clomid because my cycles were really long.  Fortunately, the Clomid worked on the first try.  When I got pregnant with my DS, I was still nursing DD, and I think my hormones were just in the right place and so I was lucky enough to get pregnant on the first try.  This time around I'm not sure how it will go, it's kind of early to tell.

As for your QOTD, I've never really been into sports, so I can't answer for myself.  My DH is really into college football and professional hockey.  Really any team from his hometown he will root for.  I'd like to get my kids into gymnastics, dance, swimming, t-ball, maybe soccer.  I'll just have to see what they express interest in and what their friends do.

  • Good morning ladies and welcome to all of the newbies!

QOTD:  I love Buckeye football.  We were glued to ESPN last night to see all of the news about the Big Ten expansion and I'm super excited about NebraskaBig Smile  DD is too young for organised sports, but she loves to swim and play golf so who know.  I think we're going to get her gymnastics lessons for her bday,

As far as cycle news, I didn't really have any bad side effects from the clomid, so I now I am just hoping that it works.  I go in for a follie check tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous.

GL to all of you in the 2WW I want to see a lot of BFPs next week!

  • Congrats to the BFP!

I am so glad to see you back Mrs. Monica. I hope things are going better.

QOTD: I don't like sports much. I hate to watch them on TV and if I have to go see them live I suppose I prefer baseball and sprint car racing (but only because my brother is a sprint car racer, if he didn't race then I wouldn't watch). I find myself being tomboyish in a lot of areas but sports is not one of them.

I do hope to get DS in to baseball when he is older. I love going to little league games and I think being on a team is a great experience.

Me: I am trucking a long. Having sex EOD, drinking green tea, taking my temp, peeing on OPK's...

So far my chart is looking pretty good. No odd spikes going really high or really low. My CM is following a good pattern. Hopefully I will O some time within the next week. I would love a shorter cycle.

  • Glad to see you MrsMonica!  It sounds like you have a good plan in place.  That's awesome!  I hope it does the trick for you.

QOTD: I don't care much for sports.  I'd much rather do something active than to watch sports.  I like to run and I love to play tennis and other racquet sports, even though I suck at them.  ;)  If I had to choose a sport to watch on TV, I'd pick college basketball.

Cycle update - AF came last night, so I am now on cycle 6 of TTC.  :( I feel so stupid that I thought I'd get pregnant quickly and easily like I did with DS.  *sigh*

All of my blood work has come back completely normal, so we have no idea what is causing the spotting.  I had really heavy spotting this cycle, despite an excellent progesterone level.  My next step is to go in for an ultrasound to see if there's anything causing the spotting and to check my lining.  I'll go for that appointment next week.

  • Welcome back Mrs.Monica Smile I'm so glad that you have a plan in place! Tons of happy thoughts at you!!!

QOTD: The favorite sport in our house is hockey, but my DH will watch baseball if there's no hockey.  I did pre-pro ballet and competitive dance and still take classes for fun.  Harm loves dance and is joining a competitive team next year (oh holy glitter!) We tried just about every sport with her and she either A.) CRIED like we were killing her or B.) just sat on the sidelines.  So she still takes swim lessons and lots of dance.

TFAS Front: Nothing, but congrats to all the BFPs!!!!

    Married ~ DD 2004 ~ 2 2nd tri losses ~ DS 2011 5 weeks 1 day early ~ DD2 2012
  • QOTD- I am really not into sports. DH loves all sports so I try to be suportive. :) Our plan with dd is to let her try a little bit of everything and see what she likes.

TTC-Thanks for the well wishes, but no IUI for me this month. We were actually out of town when it would have happened so we just did clomid, trigger and TI. We will have to do this again next month also due to vacation but if no pg by then then we will do an IUI in August.

I don't think there is much hope for this month because when I went in for my follie check my lining was pretty thin so chances are slim, but I am still crossing my fingers.

Sounds like you have a good plan in place...good luck!

  • Mrs. Monica ~ glad to hear your RE apt went well.  You must feel refreshed and glad to have a plan!  Good luck!!

Update: I am no longer pregnant. uggg. At 10 wks I found out I was pregnant with twins!!, but they both had stopped developing around 6 wks. I'm heartbroken, and just want to be pregnant again (don't we all!)  This all happened in early May and luckily I ovualted about 3 wks later and have already had my first AF!  So we will start trying in the next couple of months. I am not glad to be back here, but am happy to be in such great company again!

QOTD - favorite sport to play in highschool was track, now I love playing kickball and wiffle ball with family! ha!  Favorite to watch is football - I love the fall!  I would love it if my LO played football, but at the same time I don't want him to get hurt. We'll see what happens!

  • Hey, Monica!  Welcome back! Big Smile

I have gotten the same exact temp the past three days. Surprise  I just got a new BD BBT and it seems to enjoy 97.1.  I also got dotted CH thanks to that... on CD 8! lol  I am sure that will change.

    As for the QOTD...

My favorite sport is gymnastics.  I love watching it.  I participated when I was young (up until middle school) but I definitely don't/didn't have the body type for it, haha (tall).  But I look forward to the summer olympics most for gymnastics. Smile  I played all kinds of sports when I was younger but I stuck with tennis through high school (and played one season of intramural in college).  I miss playing it.  I wish I could find a hitting buddy or something... even though I no longer have any of the equipment, lol.

If I had to pick a sport for DS (not that I have a strong preference), I think I would choose... swimming since DH was a swimmer in high school and it's a pretty safe sport. Stick out tongue  If I ever have a DD, I think I would choose tennis for her because that's what I played in HS! lol

  • my favorite sport to watch is college football (go gators! and bucs)  i played college soccer and met my DH playing co-ed, so we already have DS kicking a ball around (he just turned 2 yesterday...where does the time go??!).  i want DS to play lots of different sports, especially when he is younger.  anything would be good (tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball) anything except for football.

my temp keeps dropping so i think i am out :(  another down-side is that this would be my shortest LP if i get AF tomorrow...things just keep getting better!  BUT i do have an RE appt. on the 29th...the day after my 30th b-day. i have a feeling it will make me feel officially OLD!
