I work for a large firm. We pretty much occupy an entire office building including Penthouses. We take up 3 parking garages. Only one that is actually located in our building. The other two are located across the street. You can imagine that when it rains it sucks. You have to cross the street in the rain. {God forbid you don't have an umbrella and it's rainy season in S.Fla}
The parking garage I used to park is was designed with compact cars {when I say compact I mean smart cars and mini coopers} in mind. Monday I couldn't leave the office until after about an hour or so over my usual time because some twatwaffle parked his suburban and a Mazda suv right next to me and boxed me in on the right and left. Normally I'd just suck it in and squeeze in. For obvious reasons I can't. That wasn't the first time that happened either and my office manager knew about it.
So they moved my parking to the garage in our building which is usually handed out to partners and such. There is a PITA associate that no one likes who parks here. Our parking is already overcrowded and they needed to kick someone out of this garage so I can park here. They chose her.
I feel no guilt whatsoever. Does this make me evil?
Re: I normally don't pull the 'pregnant' line but...
don't feel guilty - they gave the spot to you.
MamaPhan|boy (n): a noise with dirt on it
You aren't evil! I would consider that a SCORE!
I am also going to start using the word "Twatwaffle" I love it!
Hahaha, remind me of what old people say "when I was your age, I had to walk a mile uphill both ways with holes in my shoes....."
Seriously though, walking in the heat does suck, by the time you get to work your feeling not-so-fresh!
Mornings aren't so bad because it's downhill and it's still somewhat cool. It's the heat of the afternoon walking back up that really sucks. By the time I get to my car I'm panting and waddling and can barely catch my breath.
I totally agree. I had no idea we were that packed and I know they were making it a big deal to the building people that I get to park here.
Perhaps they're all afraid of getting a stye in thier eye? No really, or perhaps that i'll leave earlier than planned, or that I slip and fall or something in the rain on the sidewalk.
Who knows? I'll be here enjoying my executive parking spot.
Totally this. I am still literally laughing out loud
