He wanted to let me know that kids motor gp racing (the crazy street bike racing on tracks like Sears point at 150 mph) starts at the age of 4. I think he is now counting down until 2014 when this kid can race.

Re: DH just texted me
He is very excited about it.
I am very pro motorcycle. They start the kids on small, slow, low powered bikes with trained instructors and proper safety equipment. I see no problem with it. If our kid ends up not being able to handle it I am not going to force him/her.
I've been riding with my dad since I was 3. I fully expect our child to be on motorcycles at a young age, even if it is going around the block with daddy.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
My DH will hear you!! Don't give him ideas!!
My family is very into motorcycles too. (I'm really missing it this summer
) I would much rather expose them to these things early so they can learn to respect the dangers involved and know what they're doing.
I would feel much safer around a 5-year-old who knows what he's doing than a 25 year old who just jumped on a bike because it looks cool.
Exactly! Teach them respect for the machine now and not when they are 20 and think they are invincible.
