What pack and play do you have/recommend?

I'm stuck on this one for some reason.  I never had one with Emerson but, it has to come in handy with the twins at some point.

Which one do you have or are you drawn to?  Thanks!

Re: What pack and play do you have/recommend?

  • I have 2 pack n' plays - the Elyse one.  I really like it - it has the newborn napper and changing pad on the top.  We had the girls sleeping in the nappers until about a week ago (now in their cribs).  Also the pack n' plays are downstairs so when they need to be changed, I use the changing pad on it rather than have to go upstairs to their room.

  • Our little ones aren't here yet...but we got the Carter's Comfort Center Playard and Changer - Safari Friends. I wanted to get one with the highest possible bassinet weight limit and this was pretty much the only option available in-store. I believe the weight limit was 31lbs vs like 15lbs in the other brands/models. The other one we were looking at was the Graco Kensington Twin Playard. This one also had a higher weight limit than regular brands/models but it was $50 more expensive than the Carter's and not available in-store. One feature it did have that Carter's didn't was the little divider/bassinets for each baby. Not sure if they're entirely necessary, we plan to use sleep positioners to prevent them rolling in the first few months...Good luck with your decision!

ETA: I feel like the changer will come in handy and it does flip out of the way if you don't need it... Also, it plays music whereas the Kensington does not.

  • we have 2 utopias. love them & still use one as our downstairs changing table at 10 months. some people dont like the changing table option but if you hav e a2 story house & no real changing table downstairs, i definitely recommend it. was great ot have a place to put them to sleep in our room & downstairs when they were babies too.

we live in a small condo, but still have 3 PNPs.  one stays at my dad's house (so we only have to cart one with us).  one stays in our bedroom, where one baby always naps.  the other is the old school, big square kind, that we hardly ever use, but may yet.

i didn't have any use for the bassinet/change table features.  we bought the two we use most off of CL.  for us, they are a safe place to sleep, and that is all.  the only function that i care about is ease of fold-up.

  • I have the Graco twin pack and play I hate it (the babies rolled into the center of the bassinettes and you can't remove the seperation and use it as a regular flat bassinette)  and am considering selling it! I would just find one you really like and get two of them. I also have two plain graco and plays now that the girls are older.
