We were told to do it once a day, until LO gets the hang of it and actually eats the stuff. We prepare the amount listed in the directions on the box, though she has never actually ate that much. Bowl & spoon, in the evenings for us. We're not forcing the situation, though, so we've never upped the frequency or amounts we're feeding her. We're just watching her experiment with it for the time being (since she still seems more than satisfied with her formula and her weight is of no concern).

Pretty much this exactly...except we fed her in the morning the first time in case of allergies. We feed DD 1 hour after BF and before bath time as part of her routine.
for about 2 weeks now, we've put a little in his night time bottle. Started out with a tsp, then a little more .. until we got to the recommended TBSP with about 5 oz. Had to put the #2 nipple's on the bottle so it didn't get stuck. We've tried the bowl and spoon, lo wasn't super hip on it.. but I wanted to get his tummy introducted a little. Tonight we will try sweet potatoes
We use bowl and spoon because I feel like half the purpose of the cereal is to teach him to eat from a spoon. It was runny at first, then thicker. We feed him 1 Tbsp of cereal with 1/2 oz of formula once a day. He usually has cereal between 4 and 5 (which is 1 hour after his 4th bottle), then his last bottle of the day at 6.
