I decided to turn on the news.

And they have breaking news! Oh good Lord what can it be?

The Sacramento police chief has withdrawn from the running for the Seattle police chief.

Dunn Dunn Duh

Yeah, the police chief applied to be the chief in Seattle and we have been getting updates that he is in the top 3 and looked like he was going to get it. Apparently he decided he wanted to stay in Sacramento.

1) Why in the hell is this "Breaking News"

2) Why would you choose Sacramento over Seattle? I love Seattle and would move there in a heart beat if we could.

    If it's any consolation, our local newspaper has had alerts about pictures posted from local high school proms as the top online news story for about 3wks now.

    The Spokane police chief was also in the running for that position and our local news programs acted like we must all be sitting at home, on the edge of our seats, with giant bowls of popcorn just waiting for whatever thrilling updates they had for us. Umm...no.

    My fav "breaking news ever" was "It's Election Day" sometime in the wee mroning hours of November 4, 2008.  I was thinking.. seriously?  Breaking news?  didn't we all know "election day" was coming?
