When was your GT Test? (Clicky)

My doc said I could get it anywhere between now and 28 weeks. I just called and they have an appt open for tomorrow morning (I'll be 24w 3d). I feel like I haven't seen others get it that early.

So this is a poll to help me decide if I want to hold off.

If they said you can take it now I would, I'd want to get it over with! Mine will be at 25 weeks...

I had mine at 18w. I told my ob that a lot of women in my family have had GD and have had HUGE babies as well. So I think she just wanted to go ahead and get it out of the way. My cousin had a baby a year ago, she had GD and her baby weighed 10lb4oz

I had one at 8 weeks. And I will probably have another within the next month.

There is a history of diabetes in my family, so they wanted to test me early.

My friend from HS had a baby earlier this year that was 11lbs14oz, vaginally. Ouch. She passed her GD test too. Not sure what caused her girl to be so big.

With my PCOS, my Endo wanted me to have one early. So I had my first at 20 w, which I passed. I have to do it again at 28 weeks. Hopefully I'll pass that one too. I didn't have to fast, so I really didn't think it was that bad.

I will be at 23 wks 6 days when I do the first test this Friday. Fingers crossed. This totally skinny coworker just had hers a couple of weeks ago and they called her in for the 3 hour last week, but then she has also gained almost 20 lbs and is about 29 weeks along right now. I hope my lack of weight gain will help me pass it the first time around.

I have PCOS so I had one around 13 weeks and I will have one at every other appointment according to my Dr.

Pretty sure mine will be scheduled for around 28 weeks.

At my last appointment I asked when I will need to do it, and the Dr. said around 28 wks.

My last appointment was at 22.5 weeks and my doctor said I was just a touch early for the test and we would do it next time. But when I checked out and set my next appointment I said something to the receptionist about it being the GT appointment and she seemed shocked that I didn't have that done that time.

So mine will be at 26.5 weeks. I think it just depends on when your appointments fall.

I would go ahead and do it, that way if there is an issue you have more time to give a handle on it.

I just had mine at 21 weeks, because my mom had GD and my dad is diabetic. I passed, but I have to have another one at 28 weeks.

I had one at around 12 weeks due to PCOS, failed the one-hour and passed the three-hour. Gonna go straight to the 3-hour test again around 26 weeks.

mine next week at 26weeks....they were originally going to test me early b/c my mom has a history of GD...but decided against it...hopefully i pass next week!
