How late is too late for birth announcements

So.., today Evie is 11 weeks old.  Did I miss the boat for birth announcements?

If it matters, because she was a preemie and on lock down for the first 8 weeks of life she pretty much has only met her grandparents, but not the extended family.  Those that have FaceBook have seen pictures, but the vast majority have not actually met her yet.

  • I think you could still send them out. Since she was in the hospital for majority of the time, it would be okay. Some people don't even pay attention to that kind of stuff.

  • I say send them out. It's never to late to send announcements. Plus you have a great excuse. I need to be-friend you. I haven't really seen pictures of Evie yet. Big Smile

  • under a year - maybe?  everybody likes to see pics of babies - I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't want super newborn pics of Ella - so I waited for a first smile ~ 2 months and then ordered them and sent out a little before 3 months.

Everybody already knew anyway by FB, phone call, word of mouth, etc.

Hahaha, I just noticed this...did you make this name while the nest was verifying your account?

ha - yes, I just realized I was posting under this too.

  • I think I sent them out about the same time.  I think people understand that as a new parent you don't have the time to send them out within the first few weeks.
