Hi everyone.

I had a 30 weeker ; who's now almost 12 weeks (2 corrected)
He has an ''absent cavum septum pellicidum'' and is recovering from ROP on his left eye with a level 2 stage 2 in his right. He's healthy,happy and has been home for almost a month and a half. He weighs about 8lbs 7oz's.
He's starting to lift his head up for minutes at a time, he's also starting to react to sounds,and voices. He just only started doing these things well - altho he's still a little bobble head :] ..

I was just wondering if there were any moms with children close to the same age or a little older - just wondering about milestones, ect. thanks!

    Welcome and Congrats!  My LO was born at 31 weeks. He is almost 6 months old actual. We've only hit a few milestones but so far he smiled around 4 months (actual) and laughed at 4 1/2 months. He rolled very quickly from tummy to back (9 weeks actual). He is getting very close to rolling from back to belly. I would guess he'll do it i nthe next week.

    As far as head control, he didn't get great at it until between 4-5 months. At his 4 month appointment we were threatened with PT since his head was getting asymetrical and it was pushing his eye forward. So we worked hard on lots of tummy time. stretching and massage. It helped a ton and now he is doing well. Still slightly wobbly but much better.

     Gl to you! These girls are great and are very helpful.

    Welcome and congrats on you LO.  My daughter was born at 28 weeks 3 days and is 2 weeks old adjusted today.  It sounds like she is doing the same things as our LO.  I don't expect much from her since she is really only 2 weeks old-not 3 months!  Early intervention is coming to the house tomorrow to assess her and make sure that she is on track for 2 weeks old and set us up for times for assessments in the future.  She has been home for 4 weeks now and is up to 8 lb 15 oz as of this morning!!

    Congrats on your fighter as well! I'm glad to know there is another mama out there - whos going threw the same motions as i am!
    Since i know - hardly any new moms, and even fewer moms of preemies - i'm pretty much left to fend for myself when it comes to curiosity of milestones or even just exchanging an odd story here or there. I find myself just wondering if we're where we should be .. because he looks amazing to me but as soon as we leave the house i hear a million different comments and its just hard sometimes.

    When was your LO born? I'd love to chat sometime .. if you have a personal email/facebook or even add me as a friend. since im new to this board im not sure how to do it!

    Shes beautiful! Congrats!
    I'm glad shes doing well and gaining nicely- its the greatest joy to watch them progress and grow into beautiful healthy happy babies.
     Aiden is also almost 2 weeks corrected (3 months actual) .. and 8lbs 7ozs!
