3rd Trimester

*sarahgrace*

Thanks for keeping everyone posted last night! I'm not sure if you caught my post from last night...

"Well, they got my BP down for the time being... I have trace amounts of protein in my urine.?Blood work?came back A-okay, thank goodness... The on call doc was a b!tch! Very rude. The nurses were fantastic! We got to hear a baby be born right across the hall - it was a really neat experience and I look forward to it (but not too soon!)?

They sure didn't do much but monitor me... It is a bit disheartening because I feel like we didn't get anywhere... I have orders to see my doc tomorrow and we'll see what he has to say about it. I'm glad that the on-call doc left treatment up to my doctor.

I had a headache all day. It let up a bit in L&D and they gave me tylenol before they discharged me but it is not going away and serves as a constant reminder that my BP is up and I feel like my body is failing my son. I hope these next weeks go quick. Nurses and doc at the hospital kept telling me that I have a high chance of having the baby before term. It's sure been a long day.

Thanks to sarahgracesc for keeping you guys posted and for all your thoughts!"

?

Anyway, I have an appt. next week with my doc. I tried to call today and he is booked solid until my usual appt. so I guess I will have to stick with that... I had such a chill week at work - best in months - so I feel like it's not my work that is stressing me out. I think I'm just stretching myself too thin. Everyone seems so concerned about getting me out of work... I love my job and I would be so stressed out to have to change my leave plan... I'm just going to try to take it easy. I'm set to be out of work soon anyway - my last day is Oct. 27. That's only 8 work days past this next appt.

Sorry, I'm rambling and this got so long! Hope all is well with you! Thanks again!?

  • I'm irritated with your doc for not getting you in sooner than next week.  Sorry, but I am!

I'm glad that things seem to be okay, at least for the time being.  Hopefully you'll surprise them and have a full term baby!  If leaving work early stresses you out, then don't do it!  Perhaps just cutting out all of the background noise (other obligations to friends and family, etc) will benefit you.

You're NOT failing your son!  Don't think of it like that!  Honestly, there's nothing that you could've done to prevent high bp and protien in your urine, so don't blame yourself for ANYTHING.  Just remind yourself that you've been taking good care of your body and your baby for 33 weeks, and that in and of itself is an accomplishment.

You'll continue to be in my thoughts/prayers.  I'm just so glad that your little guy is still cooking!
