Pregnant after a Loss

I'm still not sure

This morning I felt something that felt like a poke about 2 inches southwest of my bellybutton... it happened three or four times.  Then, this afternoon after eating several mini peanut butter cups and butterfinger eggs Embarrassed, I felt some bubbly feelings in the same area and then another couple pokes (that felt a little like a muscle twitch).  Was Ciara kicking me?  I feel so horrible that I can't figure out what's my baby and what's my body doing stuff!

Re: I'm still not sure

  • I think that definetely sounds like it could be baby kicks!  Don't feel bad about not knowing.  In the beginning it is hard to figure out.

  • I'd venture to say that that was a kick!  Congrats on feeling her move.  Once she becomes more active, you'll be like, "so that's what it feels like".

  • Sounds like LO is kicking ya! how fun!

  • I know I felt her roll over last week... it was a swishy feeling and my belly moved like  wave.  But if this is what kicks feel like, I guess she's been pretty active!  The doc asked me today and I told her I still wasn't sure.  She just smiled and said probably.

  • LOL - yeah, I do have Easter candy.  It stems from the fact that anything with sugar has been a complete turn off for the last couple months.  I'm a well known chocoholic, but I've only recently started wanting it again... and even then, only on occasion.

  • Dont feel bad. I finally knew it was the baby for sure around 21 or 22 weeks. Hang in there!

  • Sounds exactly how my boy punches me!!  (I thought they were kicks, but the big u/s showed him way head down with legs stretched out and pointing up to my ribs and it is definitely his arms doing the damage.)

  • I'd say that's movement=and you are 20 weeks? yep.  That's when I first started feeling my girl.  I thought it might be gas but nothing came out-and it also felt like muscle twitches.  She moves a lot when I lie on my back-so if I'm ever worried about her sometimes lazy days I lay down and she starts right up!  Enjoy!!
  • Thats what my kicks feel like too! The only reason I know they were kicks is because the u/s tech told me they were. She saw the baby kick and asked if I felt that. When I told her I did, she said that was a kick. I think I would still be thinking they were gas if she hadn't said that:)
