Check to make sure that the nipple you have on there has a little "1" marked on the side. I had this issue at first, and realized that I was using a faster flow nipple.
I use the soothie bottles and love them! My DD doesn't have a need for any special bottles other than she collapses the nipple so I started looking for a stronger nipple and ran across this one. I have zero complaints about this bottle, but that doesn't mean everyone else's experience will be the same.

My DD would suck the nipple flat too. We were able to fix it by just loosening the top of the bottle to allow air to move better. Just FYI for future money saver.

Can you just buy the nipple for them without buying all new bottles?
