anyone use the soothie bottles?

I just gave LO his first bottle of pumped BM and he would drink and then act like he was choking because the flow was so fast. Thoughts? TIA!

  • Loading the player...
  • Do they not have flow nipples..slow flow etc..?

ETA:And it might take time as PP said if it is a slow flow nipple already as bottles are much easier to get milk from than the breast. DD never had this issue

  • Check to make sure that the nipple you have on there has a little "1" marked on the side. I had this issue at first, and realized that I was using a faster flow nipple.

  • I use the soothie bottles and love them!  My DD doesn't have a need for any special bottles other than she collapses the nipple so I started looking for a stronger nipple and ran across this one.  I have zero complaints about this bottle, but that doesn't mean everyone else's experience will be the same.

My DD would suck the nipple flat too. We were able to fix it by just loosening the top of the bottle to allow air to move better. Just FYI for future money saver.

I tried that and it didn't work for me.  But that doesn't mean it wont for others.

Can you just buy the nipple for them without buying all new bottles?
