transitioning to mom jeans??

i've always worn lower cut jeans- couple inches under the belly button. well after having the babe these jeans just don't fit right. so yesterday i bought a pair that comes up just to the belly button. they fit and feel great! but i worry, am i slowly transitioning to mom jeans? like in another 5 years, after another pregnancy, will i be buying true mom jeans, lol. anyone get what i'm saying?

Re: transitioning to mom jeans??

  • haha.. I do know what you mean & I fully intend to get back into my low rise jeans!  Well I can fit into them, but my arse looks waaayy big!  So I need to get off my booty & run!

  • I still wearing the same kind of jeans I always did, boot cut or straight leg mid-rise Levi's that rest right below the belly button.  No one looks good in mom jeans, not even the models....

ewwww, the color of those jeans alone makes me cringe!

  • a higher rise is one thing (especially while the little pooch area is still flabby) but tapered legs?  that a whole other story Indifferent

  • Super low rise jeans aren't really in style anyway.  I wore a mid-rise even before I got pregnant.  No one wants to see your ass crack anyway.

Old Navy has a style called the Dreamer that comes up just to under the belly button but look normal otherwise.  I wore them for a bit when I was still trying to contain the pooch.  They were really flattering, especially in the dark wash.  As long as you aren't wearing those Levis I think you'll be ok :)

  • I hear ya.  The muffin top look just isn't working for me.  My plan is to hit the gym at some point to get rid of the muffin top...but since DS is already six months old not sure when I'm going to follow through...

  • Nothing wrong with a higher rise. It probably looks better then a muffin top you have to do what looks good. Just NOT mom jeans thought never look good. Agree with the gym coments, I am also trying to get back in the gym but finding the time isn't always easy. Especially since my LO keeps changing her schedule on me LOL
