stockin up..

So we are 9 weeks and counting :) Im hearing that it would be best to stock up on diapers from here on---what do you guys think on that? I hear some women say that take advantage of sales as I see them, but what size to buy. Im having twins and not sure if I should just buy a variety of sizes from preemies to stage 1 diapers. Please advice

    I didn't stock up as early as 9 weeks, but after my shower, I began clipping coupons. At my BJ's (warehouse club) you can use a bj's coupon (often for 4-5 dollars off) plus a manufac. coupon for another 1-2 off. So I get a box of 140 diapers for around 30 bucks. If you belong to a warehouse club check to see if you can use coupons. I really do not find any comparative deals at Target or Walmart. As far as sizes, we were in step 1 pampers for quite a bit and just moved to step 2 2 months back. Also, you may want to stay away from the pampers dry max, some babies are having skin issues with them, my DS did. Pampers swaddlers without the dry max are the best for us. GL!

    I'm from the stock up camp.  We went though around 200 NB diapers (no preemie) and 600 or so 1-2 diapers.  I would stock up on more like size 3 or 4's because they're in them for so long that it'll be hard to over buy for that size.  Congrats and GL.

    I am at 9 weeks too and I was told the same thing! lol.

    My husband funnily enough brought home a package of the Pampers Swaddlers last night. I figure why not get all that out of the way as soon as possible. It will be one last thing to run to the store for! ha!

    My SIL has been clipping coupons and sending them to me.  DH is hesitant to start stocking up until after we tell the whole family.  About 3 more weeks and we plan to start stock piling diapers.  Cool I am so ready to tell everyone so I can officially start picking stuff out and planning the nursery!

    You never know which diapers you will like until babies are here.  Although most people like pampers swaddlers....I'm glad I did not stock up on them since 9 weeks or I'd have a ton of dry max diapers (not saying I truly believe in the hype but I'm glad I am not in the predicament).  We have several brands of newborn diapers and will see which works best before we go out and buy more.  Sales on diapers are ongoing.  Some people just put away $20 every 2 weeks into an envelope or something like that when you're so early on so that the money is there for future diaper use when you determine what works for you.

    We did not stock up early but recieved a TON at showers... I agree with PP that i didnt use premies (and if you end up using them it will be hopefully for such a short time that you can have DH run and pick up some before you get discharged) DH and i hit an AWESOME sale at giant and picked up size 3 nd 4 and are stilllll using them its awesome.  Like PP said they are in 3 and 4 much longer than any stage so far.  dont go toooo crazy we did at first and gave away a lot of size 1 and 2!!!!
