  • Hi :) This is my first bump post... I spent a lot of time on theknot 2 years ago with wedding planning and I am a regular on the health and fitness board on thenest.

I got my BFP on June 2, and based on my last period I am 6.5 weeks.... I think I am more like 4 weeks, bc I had a really long cycle (first one off the pill). Until my appt on the 23rd, I will just believe that I am around 6 weeks and play with you girls, ok? :)

So far, I am bloated... muffin top with any normal pants (luckily I wear scrubs to work, so it won't be obvious for a while), and I am crazy tired. Yesterday was the worst... I slept for 9 hours over night, took a 2 hour nap and was ready for bed at 1130 and slept another 8 hours. I have to work today, and 12 hours without a nap sound like torture!!! Luckily no nausea yet, I am always hungry!

When does everyone have their first OB appt??

  • I'm with you ladies too!

Feeling a little sick after work yesterday and this morning, I am back to normal for now!

  • I'm still tired and have decided a little caffeine is alright for me. Sometimes I need a pick me up in the afternoon around two thirty. My dizziness is gone now that I eat more often (or sometimes just drink some apple juice). Not really any m/s although salads and veggies turn my stomach...problem is the sound really good in my head so I keep making them only to throw it out after gagging fits.

My first appointment for medical history and blood work is June 25 and my u/s is about a week after that.

Hi!  I'm feeling blah.  The nausea kicked in for me about a week ago and seems to be getting worse.  I dry heave at the worst times.  I'll probably have to come clean to my boss sooner than later since he's witnessed me heave a couple of times.  I'm tired too, but am not sleeping well.  Great combination, right?

But, I'm not complaining even thought it sounds like it.  I'm very thankful to be here. :)

  • I'm also at 6 weeks! Feeling pretty good except for some nausea and ALWAYS being tired. I too get dizzy sometimes but have found eating smaller meals more often is helping.

We have our 1st u/s next Tuesday and will be released to an OB at that time. I don't have a regular OB yet (we are new in town) so they are going to give us some referrals then. In the mean time we are going on maternity tours this week for the 2 hospitals closest to home.

Praying the next 34 week are H & H for us all!!

  • I found out at 11 DPO so this has been the longest 3 weeks of my life LOL

My first OB appt isn't until June 24th so I feel REALLY behind everyone.  The U/S is scheduled after that.

  • I think it's hilarious that we have 4 posts for 4 different weeks.

I feel AWFUL today. I am just so tired of the yuckiness, cannot wait to get past this!

Tired, nauseous and cranky. And hot all the time.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut
  • Hi fellow 6 weekers!

Well I feel sick and tired but happily pregnant! I'm leaving on a two day business trip tomorrow afternoon and I'm totally freaking out about being away from DH and potentially running to the bathroom to puke every hour.

  • Hi this is my first post and first pregnancy! YAY

I am so exhausted. I yawn constantly. Everytime I fall asleep I feel like I could fall asleep forever. Aside from that my chest feels enourmous and a little painful... I love that there is a little 6 wk crew here! It's great to discuss things with other people as I have chose not to tell anyone until the third month.

  • yay for us! i feel like a freshman again, with all the girls further along than we are on this board. i have to visit 1st tri to see the other dates that are popping up so i don't feel like the caboose all the time. :)

i am feeling so tired these days and so nauseous, but thankfully not throwing up yet. keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

  • I like this 6-week check in!

I am super nauseated this week. Sometimes eating something helps, sometimes it makes it worse. I'm finding the best stuff to eat is non-greasy stuff. But even food commercials on the radio make me cringe.Ick!

I have my first appt tomorrow, I got in early because I am high-risk since I have Type 1 Diabetes. Not sure when my first ultrasound will be. I had my endocrinologist appt today as well as a eye exam. Everything is good on their standpoint so far!

  • I just started having nausea. It kicks in about 2 hours after I eat breakfast, so I end up eating a second breakfast. So far I can control it if I eat small meals throughout the day. Also I am napping as soon as I get home from work...

I met the midwife today. It wasn't a medical appointment, just a "getting to know you" appointment. She is really nice and understanding and the other woman in the office, the office manager, is super-knowledgeable too. This is my first pregnancy and I have no reason to be high-risk, but I asked for an ultrasound now so that I bring the picture with me to visit my mom and grandparents in France next week and they were totally understanding.

  • Im a 6 weeker too!

Nausea hasnt been too bad yet, but it seems to be gradually increasing...last pregnancy it hit like a steamroller at 7 weeks. So I am a bit nervous! I have been tired, but other than that things are going great!

I dont know when my first OB appt is because our insurance is giving us some problems. I am so impatient to see this baby though!

  • Yay! This is me! I'm actually feeling pretty good which makes me very anxious. I have symptoms but they are very mild :( I'll feel better when i see the heartbeat on Thursday :)

  • Oooh me! I'm also feeling pretty good, much better than with my first. Queasy from time to time which is quickly remedied with some food. Definitely not having the extreme exhaustion I had before but am sure it's coming. Can't get that lucky, right? I gained 60 lbs the first time so I'm trying not to give into every little craving but today that has been a challenge.

My first appointment isn't until June 25... seems so far away!

  • I am TIRED, this is so much harder this time since I have to keep with my 2 year old :)

Sore boobs still and very nauseous. Nothing ever sounds good to eat!

  • 6 weeks 3 days! Yay for others right in the exact same time! I found out three weeks ago already, so it's seems crazy to only be six weeks along! I had sore breasts starting 3-4 days after conception, which is how I found out (led me to take the test) I had NO idea! We've been "not trying" but not stopping anything from happening for a year, and just didn't expect to FINALLY see a positive sign after a year of negatives! I've seen the midwife once, and she just confirmed she got the same response as me. I'm going back on the 18th for an ultrasound to confirm how far along I am, since my cycles are really long and never the same length.I am super excited to have an actual appointment!

The sore boobs keep coming and going. If I have an empty stomach, I feel nauseas, but nothing but crap food sounds good these days! I find myself eating a lot of McD's which I don't want to do, but gotta eat something! My SIL who is 7 months recommended hard candy and popsicles, so I stocked up on those yesterday, along with Gingerale!

I've told my boss and coworkers already because we are a bunch of partiers, and we had a huge work party planned for the week after I found out. There would have been jokes cracked all night long for not drinking, so I just decided to tell them. I work in a small office, so it wasn't a huge deal, and everyone is very happy and supportive. I was nervous about telling for no reason! :-)

So excited to be on this journey with the rest of you and help each other out as the weeks go by!

  • Hi gals! I moved from 8 weeks to 6 weeks. :( According to my LMP, I was 8 weeks, but with my u/s (today), I am 6 weeks 2 days. Fingers crossed this babe is super sticky. I am excited to get to know you as we travel down our 40ish week path. Cheers!

  • That's me... Had ridiculous m/s Sunday and Monday and was placed on Zofran... a total lifesaver but I've heard it causes constipation... but I'd rather that than not being able to function and throwing up every single thing I eat or drink including water...

I love this check-in!  I am doing OK over here.  I am exhausted and I have non-stop nausea.  I have not vomited yet, which is a good sign.  I am really counting down until the 2nd tri.
