So about 2-3 weeks ago, I saw my DH and DD get rear-ended, and today, I rear-ended someone in the exact same spot with DD in the car. So I took DD to the doc, even though she was completely unphased by the whole thing. Doc said she looked great. Of course, I damaged a BMW, so that sucks big time.
But now I just can't stop feeling like the worst mom in the whole world! ![]()
Re: Well, now DD has been in TWO car accidents
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
Oh no! I can't believe it. I am soooo glad your DD (and you) are ok. Every since you wrote about your DH's husbands accident there, I have been much more cautious there in the mornings.
It sucked- all the cars in the right lane moved over to the left lane so everyone on our ramp could merge... but the guy in front of me slammed on his breaks and stopped- and told me that he never even looked in his rearview. By the time I saw him stopped, it was too late. I hit my brakes, but we still slammed into the back of him. And of course, it will be declared as all my fault. All the cars behind me merged successfully around me hitting him. And the guy was nice enough about it. But now I don't know how I'm going to even drive that way anymore without feeling major anxiety!!
I don't know what your time situation is in the morning but maybe you would be better off going down and picking up Route 1 North from 41? I am sure it would take a few minutes more but at least it might help until you can calm down from this.
I have totally done what you are talking about before but have fortunately been able to stop or get passed people who do that. Was the person from the area? It is so hard to keep an eye on the car in front of you and also turn around to see if you can merge.
I left a little earlier this morning or I would've probably seen you.
BTW...you are not the worst mom at all. That is definitely an extremely unsafe ramp and you and DD are both fine. Cars can be fixed!
What did your DH say when you called and told him?
