We found Daycare..

I'm so relieved that we found daycare in Abingdon with a small in-home provider. Annabelle will start on June 21st. I'm so nervous, but I know she needs the socialization and all. I'm just nervous that she going to scream all day. Annabelle did meet the DCP yesterday and was okay for the first 5 minutes and then gave her the bottom lip. Crying

But hopefully things will work out.

Can you take her a couple times before she really starts to get used to the place and the lady?

I can imagine how tough it must be to leave her, but I know you spent a lot of time picking the right person. It'll probably be a tough first couple days, but once Annabelle gets used to the DCP I'm sure everything will get better. Good luck!

DCP has two (2 year old), 4 year and 18 month.

Actually I can't take her, because next week DCP is on vacation. At least we aren't paying for that week.

Yay! Glad you found daycare close to where you live and feel comfortable there. I hear it's harder on you than the child, but what the heck do I know yet?

Glad you found one! It will be hard when you leave her the first day and she cries, but she will be fine once she warms up to the DCP and the other kids.

I'm glad you guys found someone. It's rough the first few weeks, esp. the first few days, but knowing that she is being taken care of and you are comfortable with the DCP really does set your mind at ease.

When we switched Aiden at 14 months the first few days were rough. He cried and just wanted to be held. But by the fourth day he felt more comfortable, and within a week he cried when I went to pick him up because he didn't want to leave!
