Pediatrician recommendations

Hi everyone!

I am new to the area (moving in June) and will be delivering at Fairview Southdale. Can anyone recommend some pediatricians around the Edina, St. Louis Park area?

    My little one came early so I ended up at Fairview Southdale instead of Maple Grove as we had planned.  While it wasn't my first option, the nurses here are FABULOUS.  I was on bed rest for a week at the hospital and in that time only had 2 nurses that I wasn't fond of.  The others were great. 

    My little one is still in the NICU there and so I know the pediatrician group the hospital recommends is Southdale Peds.

    southdale peds! we use the Burnsville office, but they have an Edina location too. I was hoping we could see Dr Curran there, as her husband delivered my ds.

    We also go to Southsdale Peds & LOVE IT, we see Dr. Miller. I also Delivered at Southdale & had no problem

    I delivered at Southdale too and had a great experience. Our ped is at SouthLake Peds (in Ep but they have offices in SLP, Plymouth, MG, & Minnetonka). Our regualr doc is Dr. Skemp and we have seen Dr. Shaeffer too. Like them both a lot. I really liked that every office has a NP that is a LC that can help you with BF. GL!

    How's your LO doing?  My DD came at 35 weeks and had a short NICU stay (fortunately) but I know how hard it can be, especially when it's unexpected.  I hope you get to take your LO home soon!

    Lily is doing great - thanks for asking.  She is now out of her isolette and is in an open air crib.  Our next step is working on feedings.  She took 16g at one feeding yesterday, 3g at the next and then 26g today.  She needs to get to the point where she can take her entire feeding (at least 40g) on her own at each feeding.  So I assume that she will be at least another week in the NICU.

    Southdale Pediatrics. We go to the Burnsville office, but they also have offices in Edina and Eden Prairie.

    Pediatric Services

    it's in St Louis Park on Minnetonka Blvd right off of Hwy 100....i went there from birth to college & we will be bringing our baby girl there as well...they have 6 doctors, and i met with almost all of them....a great range people - and i like that it's a smaller practice.

    I strongly recommend Dr. Wengler or Dr. Thomson at Edina Pediatrics. ?They are amazing. ?Love them! ?Their staff is great. ?They have great hours, the location is so convenient, they always have same day appointments reserved. ?I cannot say enough about Dr. Thomson. ?She is an amazing physician. ?She has taken such great care of our kiddos. ?They even run a pediatric urgent care clinic on evenings and weekends where you can see an actual doctor. ?My kids love going to the doctor, because the office is really "fun". ?It doesn't even really seem like a drs office. ?It feels more like a childcare center or school. ?Dr. Wengler is an amazing listener. ?Both doctors really care about their patients. ?They are practically a part of our family. ?Can't say enough about them! ?Edina Pediatrics is hands down the best pediatric practice in the area. ?The care is superb. ?The Drs are amazing. ?
