I like Cecelia. Something about Cilia reminds me of Biology class.
Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11 after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
#2 EDD 2/5/13 dx with anti-BIG E antibody, seeing a MFM
I don't take one single minute for granted.
Ha, I've thought about this quite a bit too because that's our #1 girl name. So far I've come to this conclusion: not all nicknames are exact replicas of the name they come from, so I think it's fine to name her Cecilia (which would be the most recognized spelling, making it easier on her) but call her Cece. I don't think you're locked into calling her Ceci just because it's Cecilia with an i, you know?

The name Cecilia is on my list! Agree w/ PP about how nicknames do not have to be just like the formal names.
If you use Cecilia, she has the choice later of using CeCe or CiCi.
Cecelia looks like it would be pronounced Cekelia to me.
I thought the same thing!
If you want to nn her Cece, a lot of people could automatically spell it Ceci if you spell it the others way.
