So I did some comparing online, and it appears that the Target Up&Up brand diapers are dignificantly less than other brands Walmart and Costco. Does anyone have any experiences with this brand? I'm a little hesitant to buy any just becuase I've been warned to not buy cheap diapers. I'm not sure if the benefit of being cost effective is worth it when it comes to diapers.
Here's my list that I made. This is just from the prices the stores had listed on the website.

Re: Diaper Cost Comparison
We normally use cloth but are going on a week long vacation so I bought the up and up because of the price. Today we did a trial run to see how things went (nervous because of the cheap diaper thing). She had a pretty big #2 and it didn't leak at all. So I am thinking that they are okay.
Eleanor 9.30.13
We use Target diapers and love them. IMO they are almost as good as Pampers but better than Huggies or Luvs.
DS is a heavy overnight wetter, so we still use Pampers Extra Protection for overnights
DS 3.12.08
DD 7.11.09
DD 8.01.13
We use cloth but for nighttime we use BJ's cruisers. The last time we checked all prices, they were cheaper than Target and IMO the quality is comparable to Pampers.
We can't remember how many come in a box but they are about $12-$15 cheaper than Pampers and you get about 20-40 more in the box depending on the size.
We've been using Target for about a month now and I really like them. No leaks, even at night. They're thicker than the new Pampers and I don't think they fit nearly as well (but I don't want to deal with Pampers anymore after the DryMax debacle, plus the price difference makes it worth it).
Honestly my only complaint is a weird one: we can never sniff out a dirty diaper -- somehow they hide the smell better. So I guess that will be helpful as we move toward potty training anyway, since we have to watch for signs before she goes or else we never know!
DD1: allergic to eggs & dairy

DD2: milk and soy protein intolerant, allergic to eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, bananas

Target's gave DS a bad rash. There were no issues w/ leaks though, so hopefully you'll have better luck.
We now use Luvs, which are much cheaper than Pampers, and they are working well
Personally we did NOT like Target diapers-
I always buy Huggies/Pampers and I never pay the costs you listed per size because I always buy diapers on mad sales with coupons. I never pay more than 14 cents for a Pampers/Huggies diaper (size 4)
We used to be a Luvs family, but I tried Huggies again about a month ago after seeing all of the coupons available. So far, so good.
I picked up 156 (3 packs of 52 size 3 Huggies) at CVS yesterday, where they were priced at 50% off (only size 3 was, so they are for the new baby since DD wears size 4), for $18 total!!! I used a $3 off coupon for each pack. That works out to about 11.5 cents each, which is obviously a great price.
If Luvs had more coupons available, I would probably buy them as I've always liked them the most.
It's a GIRL!!
Thanks, Ladies!
We're going to start buying a couple packs each paycheck to build up our stash before LO arrives. Since we were at Costco, we got a box of wipes (900 for $19.00!!) and a box of Kirklands 1-2 diapers. The prices online were more than the prices in the store so my list is a little off.
The next brand we'll be getting is Up & Up. We already have a couple packs of Huggies & Pampers (no drymax) in NB size.
dont do it- just put the money on a gift card. what happens if your baby doesn't react well to Costco diapers- and then you have a full stash that you have and can't use them. Wait until baby comes. There is NO REASON to stock up on diapers.
Don't be afraid of cheap diapers. I've honestly never noticed a difference in how well they work in the four years I've been in the trenches.
I use cloth and Up & Up.
We used Swaddlers, but that was before the drymax issue.
I hate Parent's Choice. They always got his clothes wet.
I hate Huggies. Again, lots of leaks.
We recently bought a package of Dollar General brand, and they work pretty well. I still don't like them as much as Up & Up, but they are probably next in line.
Hmmm...I can't say I completely agree that there is no reason to stock up on diapers. When my friends threw me a shower for DD, I received enough diapers to last for 5 or 6 months! They were all different brands, but I didn't care. Actually, I liked it that way so we could test them all out and find our favorites. We were very happy to not have to buy diapers until she was six months old!
Also, why does anyone stock up on anything? To save money! The fact that I found Size 3 Huggies on sale for 11 cents/diaper was enough incentive for me to stock up a little for the next baby. I'll take my chances that he/she has some rare allergy to them.
