Question about clomid...when to start

I'm supposed to start clomid for the first time on cycle day 3. I'm thinking tomorrow, but I'm not sure. Yesterday I started bleeding in the afternoon but it was very light. I would call it a bit more than spotting though. Today it's heavy.

So my question is, would you count today as cycle day one or yesterday? I never ask these type of questions since Lord knows I've been trying for awhile and I ought to know these things, but I just want to be sure since I'm dealing with fertility drugs for the first time.

    I would think yesterday would be CD1, but you might want to check with your RE to confirm.  GL with the Clomid.

    My RE counts the next day as CD1 if you start in the afternoon.  I heard that's unusual, though.  I'd definitely call and do whatever your dr. says!
