Sorry this is one paragraph, posting from my phone. We went to genetic counseling this morning and of course they go over everything which was really scary but then at the amnio the dr (which is one of my mfm drs & that made me feel better) made me feel better saying though he couldn't guarantee anything he thinks it's my age that calculates the % the way it did (neck measurements look great still and my numbers were all borderline). The procedure actually was not too bad and it was just hard cramping during the needle going into the ute. I'm actually cramping more now and can't wait to get home. Now we have to wait 2-3 weeks for all of the results. Also, u/s went great, baby's measuring on time, got great pics & strong hb, and the baby is a .....GIRL!!! Which also means I won a foot massage from h (he thought for sure we were having a boy and I thought girl the entire time). So now comes the great name debate since neither of us likes the girl names that the other likes, should be fun. I'll post pics in a little bit. Also, for those of you who are friends with me on FB we are keeping this under wraps until the shower. Thanks for all the good thoughts & prayers!

I just finished commenting on your post from earlier today. I am so glad that you had a better experience that I had described, and that your ultrasound looks normal. Congrats and welcome to Team Pink! I will continue to keep you and your baby girl in my T&P's.
Also, do you not get some preliminary FISH results within a couple of days? This was just my experience a couple of weeks back, and the prelim results were supposed to be 98% accurate.

Can't they give you some sort of prelim results in 24-48 hours? FSH or something? or is that only w/ a CVS?

Welcome to TEAM PINK. :-) It's so fun & exciting! Not that little boys aren't exciting, but every time I go into any store, I'm drawn to the little girl dresses, and think about how adorable our baby will be in this, or this, or maybe this. :-) Baby girls are also $$$. But I'm okay with that, as I'm sure you'll be too!
I'm sorry the amnio was a bit painful...but I'm glad you're through it. I'll be thinking great thoughts for positive results for your baby girl!
