Toddler Sized Leotards - HELP!

Sophie starts ballet on 6/14. How adorable is that?? My problem is the leotards at Target are girls sized starting at like a 5. I need a size 3. Online is not helping much because the ones I have found are all child or girls size.

Anyone have a direction they can point me in??

  • Try capezio, that's where I used to get all my ballet stuff when I was a kid.

I also just did a quick google search for toddler ballet leotard and there were a bunch of links.  You can also ask wherever you have her signed up if they can recommend something.

Too cute that she's going to be starting ballet!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am very excited. LOL. She was going on and on a couple of weeks ago about how she wanted to be a ballerina. Well, she will now take weekly classes with a school that actually does the classes during the day at her daycare during the summer. We get a recital at the end of it. Well....I sent the check in, registered her, and now she tells me that she does not want to be a ballerina...she wants to be a princess. LMAO! Tough! LOL.

Yeah, I found those same links on Google. I clicked on a few that said toddler but most don't actually have the toddler size so I was hoping for a rec that someone has ordered from or used. Thanks for Capezio! I am going to check it out.

  • Ditto, Leanna, on everything!  Good luck to Sophie!  She's going to love it!

  • mel, if you travel up to kendall, there's a dance store on Kendall Dr and 137th in the Kmart shoppign center.  They used to have kid stuff there!  I think it's called Dance Unlimited?  Or that may have just been the dance studio near there.... hmm... lol sorry i'm not more help!  I used to get my dance shoes from there, and I"m pretty sure I remember seeing lots of little kids going in and, and they had toddler sized ballet slippers, too!
  • oh, and mel- where did you sign her up??

LOL!  Since it's during her daycare class, I'm sure she'll be much more into it when she sees that it's with the other girls in her school, too.

  • There's a dance store on 48 St and 72 Ave (a bunch of warehouses) that will probably be able to help.  My sisters always bought all their supplies there since they were 3 yrs old (well, my mom bought the stuff LOL).

  • My target carries them.  I just saw some 2 weeks ago in a size 3t. Also  there is a dance studio (that starts classes at 2- so they carry the small sizes)by me that sells them, let me know if you want me to pick one up, I can give it to you this weekend.
