FYI: I hate my Chicco Polly highchair

Vent: I really really wish I would have gotten another high chair.  I loved the color of the Chicco Polly chair that I got and the idea that it could be wheeled around, but with the plastic seaming in the tray, it is the hardest thing to keep clean and believe me, I am not a neat freak!  As I was just mopping it up for the gazillionth time and the thought came to mind, I thought I'd vent in case anyone is interested.

Signed, grumpy pregnant mom of toddler

  • I heard reviews just like this and we returned ours.

  • I'm sorry!  I liked that one too - but saw that it was hard to clean on the reviews.  Boo.  I really wanted the Tripp Trapp for it's non-ugliness factor but we ended up with the Graco Blossom one - which so far, I reallylike!

  • This time around I'm getting the $20 IKEA one.  No more highchair nightmares for me.
  • Dude, hard to clean high chairs are such a PITA. Can I join your vent with my own highchair vent?  I HATE our Svan highchair. I was perfectly happy with the cheapy plastic one we used for DS1, but MIL (who I normally adore) thought it was ugly & bought us the admittedly cooler looking, but completely nonfunctional Svan. It is made of wood and fabric, people. WOOD and FABRIC. And I can barely get the plastic tray off with both hands. Worst designed kid product ever. And DH won't let me get rid of it b/c it will hurt his mom's feelings that I gave away a $ how ever much it costs highchair. Ok, vent over. Thanks for sharing your vent space. ;)

Yikes! I almost bought that one... so glad I didn't, I guess!

We ended up getting a FP Space-Saver as a "temporary" one bc I couldn't make up my mind, and I love it! It was like $50. Done and done.

  • I hate mine, too.  I want to get rid of it and get something that straps to a chair instead.
  • interesting - we were looking at getting one of these. glad we haven't yet!

We skipped a high chair and went with a booster.  I love it.  And we can pack it up and take it with us to dinner at family or friends' houses. You should ditch the chair and check it out. :)
DS has been using a booster I got for .50 at a garage sale almost exclusively the past few months, but for some reason, decided he prefers the "throne" of the high chair, again :)  I think we need to get the high chair out of sight out of mind!  :)
