Pregnant after a Loss

When did you start buying nursery stuff?

I've found what I'm pretty sure I want for our crib bedding, but don't know if it's too early to buy it yet.  I found the set on Ebay and at Meijer.  The set went for $49.99 on Ebay this weekend, while the same thing is at Meijer for $179.99...  Obviously a rockin deal if I can get it for $50 too on Ebay (same set is up for auction again... ).

But is it too soon?  Should I wait a few more weeks, see if I like anything else better?

And how much input did your DH want want on the nursery?  I think I'm pissing my DH off by asking what he thinks and whether we should go for the set now or not.  He keeps saying he doesn't care, but before we found out we were having a boy, he had told me that I could have all say on a girl's nursery and he'd do it if it was a boy.  I really dont' want to exclude him from this theme decision...

Here's a pip of the set I want:

  • If you can get it that cheap, I'd buy it up now!!! How many pieces do you get with it?

As for dh, mine could really care less, I asked him the other day if he wanted to help me pick out stuff for the baby, or not...his answer "you know how much I hate shopping". Knowing it's a girl, he's just handing me the credit card and bank card at this point.

  • I waited till 25 weeks and that was WAY too late.  Now I'm stuck in the hospital till the babies get here and DH is going to have to put the nursery together.

I'd say you're probably right on track.

  • We started working on our nursery at about 20 weeks.  We found out it was a boy and then waited another week or so, when my DH was on spring break. I didn't buy a bedding set because I didn't find anything I liked so my mom made everything for us.

This was me too.  My DH and I just registered yesterday and we saw a great deal on room decor, so we purchased some to start our nursery.  This was a big step that I'm excited about.

And a 9-piece set like that for only $50 can't be beat!

  • Well we didn't find out LO's gender until 20 1/2 weeks.... I knew no matter what gender though that our theme would be snoopy and DH is cool with it because he knows that I love Snoopy!  But I personally didn't start to purchase anything until I was about 26 weeks. Only because I set up my registries first and alot of my friends were pitching in together to get us the bigger ticket items...

  • I would get it now.  I am liking a set from PBK, and I have found that things in PB can be here today, and gone tomorrow without much warning.  It probably won't happen with my set this time around, but I really love it, and don't want to chance it!  I figured I've already jumped in by buying the crib, so wth?
