i just had my d&c last wednesday and am curious as to some successful pregnancies after a loss.
i have a 3y/o DD, which was a "surprise". this past loss took us a year to conceive. i'm hoping it won't take us that long again.
so- how long did it take for you to conceive your m/c pregnancy and then how long did it take for you to become pregnant again?
Re: need some inspiration-poll
I guess we're fertile, first time every time.
My loss was a late loss-so not sure if that makes a difference fertility-wise.
with our first, we weren't trying but we weren't preventing either and we got pregnant in about 6 months. after that loss, i started charting and we took 2-3 cycles off, and then i got pregnant on my 4th cycle after that.
are you charting? it can be frustrating and it has it's challenges, but i found it was very helpful for me.
The responses you'll find are going to be very different.
My first two children were surprises so I don't know how long it took, although I don't think it took long.
With my third pregnancy it took us 2 months, with the next one it took another 2 months (after being on bc for one month), I got pregnant right after that on the first cycle, and than 9 months from the last m/c to this pregnancy.
So a year and a half for what appears to be our sticky baby.
First m/c was a surprise pregnancy. It took us 14 months before the second m/c then we got pregnant each of the next 3 cycles (2 more m/c and finally a sticky baby). My RE was amazed.
I'm sorry for your loss. I hope everything happens quickly for you when you're ready.
We went of BCP in April, got PG in May, and I had a d&c in July. Then we skipped August, missed in September, and got PG again in October. Baby girl is due July 17th.
Good luck!
