I'm a wee bit of a packrat and have a hard time getting rid of things - especially the kids' stuff. But the clothing (and baby gear) situation has gotten ridiculous and it's time. It's really really time. I have every piece of clothing for both kids from age preemie to present, and I'm rapidly running out of places to put it all.
How do you prefer to unload/sell your kids outgrown clothing? Consignment? eBay? CL? Donation? I think my life would be easier if we could just have a damn garage sale, but TW doesn't allow it. Blah.
Any suggestions and tips would be well-received and much appreciated!
Thanks!
Re: The best way to unload outgrown clothes?
I am way too lazy to sell them. Plus there are so many people in need of decent kids' clothes, so I'd rather donate them than get a fraction of the price back. So first I let my sister have her pick, then I donate the rest to Salvation Army or Goodwill.
Then again, I don't ever buy upscale or boutique brands, unless I buy them for cheap from a consignment shop. Maybe I'd feel differently if I invested that kind of money.
I love freecycling them. Donating is always good as well.
