Sometimes i read posts here and think "STBXH isn't as bad as he could be"...
And then, he gets pissy with me because I won't let him defer his entire child support payment for this week's paycheck because he overextended himself on his bills AGAIN.
He is still $100 behind from March, because we did this then when he spent too much going on vacation with his ex-boss.
Last month he was pulled over for speeding, and they found out he had a suspended license (he found this out for the first time then as well!) so he had to pay the ticket, pay for the bond, and pay to reinstate his license (and he got another ticket :P) So he had to go to a check-cashing place to get money to live on after that, and now that loan is due.
I told him he could pay me $200 instead of the $325 minimum this time, and make up the rest, but I wouldn't let him pay me nothing. Go me. So he's mad at me (like I care). I told him that this was his choice. It's not my problem anymore that having a nice home, and a loving wife, and two beautiful kids was not enough for him, and he needed to go live in a crappy apartment complex so he could date some skanky whore.

My thoughts exactly with mine. He complains to me about not having any money and how I left him with a mortgage, insurance premiums, along with all the bills. Sorry buddy but you could be living easy with my income as extra money for fun and saving each month if you hadn't chosen your hillbilly girlfriend over your wife and son. Good for you for standing up to him. Not having the money is his problem not yours.
LOL!! I know the situation is far from funny, but that phrase made me crack up. And good for you girls for not feeling bad for these guys. Sometimes I feel like I am too soft, feeling sorry for my X when he says he is lonely or whatnot.
Yeah, and he's the one that left ME with the mortgage and all of the household bills (three months after we bought this house together). I manage to make it just fine, and pay for a lawyer too.
So, it sucks for him that he's having money problems, but they are all related to his complete irresponsibility. I'm not his secretary, I'm not his piggy bank, and I'm not a loan that he can forget about.
I'm not just calling names here, she really is a hillbilly. You know, those people from WV that people think of the minute they hear WV. With a thick southern accent and from a place where it is acceptable to take roadkill home and cook it for dinner. LOL Unfortunately there ARE people like this in WV, give us all a bad name.
OP -- I can't believe he left you with everything like that, but sounds like you are getting by ok. Probably just ticks him off even more that you are getting by and he's not. Hopefully he regrets the decisions he's made. If not now his time will come.

Officially, I left my ex b/c he's an abusive a$$. But he's currently engaged to a she-man (not a tranny---i think-- jsut one of those girls that look like a man) that's in the roller derby.
And he only "pays" CS when the state takes it from him. Wage garnishment, tax garnishment, freezes his bank account, and takes his inheritance from his late grandmother...he still hasn't told the kids about and truth be told hasn't tried to contact the DD in 4 years and DS in 1 year.
